Prayer for Norway

Postby bigsleepj » Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:17 pm

A terrible thing has happened this weekend and I think we should pray for Norway. 90+ people should not have died so needlessly so cruelly.

Yes, Norway definitely needs our prayers. Hopefully this will be both the first and last attack of it's cause.

What happened?
And this I pray, that your love would abound still, more and more with real knowledge and all discernment. Be prepared to preach the gospel at a moment's notice. Do you know the gospel well enough to do so yourself? Be ready.

A person set off a bomb in downtown Oslo, killing 7 and wounding many, then went to a remote youth camp and shot approximately 60 people. The number of people shot has been reduced from 90 recently, the police said they miscounted. That being noted, it's a huge tragedy, and so far it's all perpitrated by one person as far as the investigation has determined.

Been quite tough times in Norway. I am happy my family and friends seems to be alright, but a lot of people were lost under this heinous act, and the trials have just assumed. *Got a good judge that will not make this a chance for the terrorist to propagate his mad manifesto.*

Might as well post this here. It's the largest newspaper in Norway.

Press the *Klikk her for å styrke lenken* marked by red, enter the details, and join the unified stance against any form of terrorism. There are already entries from all over the world, and yours would be appreciated.

Praying for all those who have been affected, especially those who have lost loved ones.
Let others believe in the God who brings men to trial and judges them. I shall cling to the God who resurrects the dead.

I've been praying as well. Such a terrible thing to happen. :(
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NIV, Romans 8:38-39.

This was a right-wing fundamentalist Christian doing it from what I heard... who else can imagine Jesus walking up to him and telling him he's doing it wrong? Anyway I prayed...
