I wear silly bands! I love them, I just bought some today. Yes they are silly (hence the name) but I like silly cute things. Also, a great conversation starter!
I also wear the dreaded crocs. Wearing flipflops usually gives me stubbed toes.

I think we can all agree that baggy pants are one of the worst fashions. Get a belt. Please.
Heads up, I don't go on this site much these days...

I second the not-wearing-pants mention.

(And it's true that fashion corsets aren't worn so tightly, I own one and the only pain is the boning taking on weird shapes.)

One time, I heard a story about a lady who wore a corset really tight all the time. Apparently her organs had actually moved around inside her body, until her body was actually almost the shape of the corset.

Remember those bubble shirts? The ones that were, like, baby sized and expanded to enormous sizes?

Also, 90's bowl cuts. I had one when I was, like, four. Back when they were SO TOTALLY BACK IN for the first time since the Protestant Reformation.

And speaking of the Protestant Reformation... book burnings were a stupid fad.

Unfortunately, this is one that the world doesn't seem to have grown out of, yet... There were comic book burnings in 1948, during the Cultural Revolution geanology books and other books were burned, and Harry Potter books have been burned in the US.

And one church tried to burn non-approved versions of the Bible (I say 'tried' because state environmental laws forbade the open burning of the books, so they were torn apart and thrown into a dumpster instead.

Bowl-cuts were so wrong! Knee-high socks weren't all that hot either.

I was introduced to one a few weekends ago that had me boggling: Male Corsets.

Yeah, that really happens. It was a trend, and people followed it.
Of course, sadly, that isn't to say that people don't still do it.
Some fads, like Crocs, for example, are pretty much harmless; they just make people think you're crazy.

As for knee high socks: short socks are no good for tall shoes.

It is interesting how all of this went to fashion...

Quick, someone name something that isn't Twilight, vampires, internet stuffed animals or book burning to add to the list.

Both. Or alternatively, you could, y'know, NOT WEAR SOCKS WITH SANDALS. Unless you like looking like a pathetic dorky loser. It's your choice I suppose.

I usually don't, and it's not usually that cold so I just get used to not using socks (But it irritates me for the first little bit)

No, there's a difference between corsets and girdles. They're both, traditionally, worn by women.

In 6th grade the big thing was these scarfs that u could put ur head through the middle and if u were weird enough wear it as a dress.

the livestrong rip-off bracelets. hated those overpriced pieces of rubber.

@Tamachan- I loved my poncho, dont diss the poncho.

Webkinz- HATE THOSE THINGS.

or how bout Camp Rock? unlike HSM it didnt deserve a fad.

my fave fad tho: heelies- i still want some...

in 3rd grade the biggest thing was making braided thread bracelets to sell for money...so many girls got their feelings hurt cuz they weren't aloud to join the "Beading company" and then the company got in a fight and then the other girls created a rival company.

and US boy bands are stupid... but oh asian ones are uhmazing. (HeySayJUMP or SuperJunior anyone?)

But isn't that scarf thing that could be worn as a dress a poncho?
Just curious
