I hid the forest of icons you usually find on my desktop. It's not the largest wallpaper but it looks incredible on my HDTV!
Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

Things can be done about that. Especially if you find one that is larger than your screen. If you have one you've been wanting to use, but it doesn't match up correctly let me know, and I'll see what I can do to adjust it to your screen with minimum loss in fidelity.

I image Windows 7's automatic rotating desktops will make posting here a bit trickier. ;)

Here's my desktop. I picked this wallpaper because it had more dimensional depth than any I've seen before. It's also subtle and not an intial blatant anime, which is plus forthose of us who get suspicious looks/loads of teasing from family. :P It's also from one of my two anime obsessions, so. :P

Oh hey I just started watching Darker than Black.

On topic, that's a really good idea to have more subtle backgrounds for when you may be having your computer used/viewed by less understanding people. I hadn't considered that.

Can you post a link of the original? I'd love to use it for my desktop on my netbook.

I get a version of the joke, not sure if it's the same joke though. But the Apple pitch of being more unique and standing out. But I don't know the characters.

The Joke is that the one character that is highlighted is from Osaka. She different alright but not in a flattering way. She spaces out all the time and stuff. Unfortunately you have to know something about the seres to really appreciate the joke. The Anime/manga is called "Azumanga daioh" It's by the same guy that created Yotsuba&.

I'm sticking another "Skipping Tomorrow" wall that I used for a long time in here.

Mine isn't directly anime related; it's wallpaper for the upcoming game, Halo: Reach. However, if the fact that the Halo franchise has produced the compilation known as Halo Legends counts, then I suppose it is indirectly related.
