I put threads, posts, links, and a whole bunch of other crap up for weeks and weeks and weeks and no one replies...no PMs, no effort, no nothing!

Is my appearance really that bad, does no one want to at least chat? I'm getting frustrated with the silent treatment here!

I either make threads with good stuff in it that can be really important or fun, and I either get 5 to 10 people who hate it or I get no replies at all.

There's obviously something wrong here...is it me?! Do I offend?!

My Paranormal Activity Review didn't get ANY views or replies since the beginning of November, my calling for some friends to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl didn't shoot any replies or PMs. My thread about Creed coming back didn't get any replies except for those who were completely opposite of my reaction of joy.

It just seems like I post something and others are thinking:

"Oh geez, there goes that C guy again...talking about some other useless kind of crap. Whatever, I'm not gonna read it."

I hope no one is thinking that because I post useful, thoughtful, fun things on here, I don't get how absolutely NO ONE even looks at my threads, let alone the titles of them.

I bet nobody ever clicks my links in my signature. What? You guys don't trust me or something?

To me this just sounds like a bad forum month for you. Most of the time, absence of attention is related factors that go a bit beyond what we like to consider. Factors such as school starting for some, not playing SSB because they are checking out other games and as far as pm goes I have had mixed luck over the years myself. I don't even know about the band creed. Might be because I am not big on all music. *I like Theocracy and whatnot*

Now, to be honest I don't know you all that well. I tend to be around the boards, but I don't think you should make the illusion that no one likes you or that you have done something to deserve a bad rep which from what I know you don't really have either. Your threads don't seem to point towards something that would develop a bad rep as they don't seem to be provocative or annoying at any rate.

Obviously I can't tell what goes on in your pm side, it is private for a reason. However, I do think you are worrying a bit too much about the element of attention which some more or less strive for. Lack of attention does not equal being a person that ruins the fun or unpopular. At times, attention can come from provocative elements which most of the time is not a positive thing.

I would say that it probably is just a bad month or so. Extended periods of this can drive pretty much anyone insane. I've been on the edge myself quite a few times. At either rate, I would not worry as much. I'd try to keep a positive outlook on things however gloom they might seem at the moment and just try radiate some of that energy in positive comments. Might not do too much short-term, but they can make things better long-term.

It could also be that maybe those who do check out your threads don't know what to say ^^ I'm guilty of this at times and just lurk and watch the thread (s) ^^

I've experienced some situations like this before as well, and there are lots of factors ^^ Just hang in there, Cephy ^^

I don't have time or money to see movies, and generally if and when I do, I only see movies with my Dad (It's always been a father-son thing for me, otherwise I don't think I'd go at all... it's just not the same without him) so I must admit not viewing any threads on reviews lately for movies. And he generally picks what movie he wants to see and I just tag along because I'm basically cool with whatever pic it is.

On the second comment, I didn't even know the Wii could connect to the internet (I can't teleport to your place yet ... and even still I lack a TV or Wii...) but in the future if you'd like I can try some astral projection via dreaming to see if I can't show up for a game... if you don't mind random characters from my dreams popping by at 4 AM in the morning. I must warn you though, I haven't played console games in ages... let alone a Wii game, so I'm not sure I'll be much of a challenge.

Haven't gotten into creed... I listen to game music mostly, like the Chrono Cross Soundtrack or outside of game music I have the soundtrack to GIJoe (just for evil villian music) and Dr. Steel. So, I'm rather weird on music too. I'm glad one of your favorite artists are coming back though .

I hope not either, that would be terrible logic. Your posting of useful, thoughtful, fun things has absolutely no correlation to how you don't get that NO ONE even looks at your threads, let alone the titles. No matter how tempting the if and only if statement might be to slap to the page.

If it makes you feel better, when I past 1000 posts I made a thread along the lines of all the rest of the other "I've past 1000 post" threads. As of right now it has 102 views and 0 replies. It gets worse when you consider that I made that thread right before everyone and their mother decided to make "Ask me" threads and yet I still didn't get any responses. It also gets worse when you realize that I actually have friends on this site and they didn't even seem to notice it when I posted it.

The reason I am mentioning this is that this happens to other people and you shouldn't take it personally. Occasionally threads get posted that people either miss entirely or just don't care enough to post/look in and it really just sounds like, as Jaden put it, that you've had a bad forum month.

Whoa, like others have said, it's nothing personal. It happens to everybody, whether they have a friend base on the forums or not. I'm not sure what you mean when you say people aren't putting forth effort--this is only a forum, after all.

As for the things you've been posting about, I know on my part I'm not interested in seeing Paranormal Activity (I don't typically care for horror movies), I don't own Super Smash Bros. Brawl (and if I did, I wouldn't have time to play it), and I don't care for Creed at all. It's not that people have anything against you, it's just that you're expecting them to love the same things you do when in reality, maybe they don't, or maybe they simply didn't see your thread. CAA's often a pretty busy forum, and threads get lost. It happens.

Ok, so I promised something random and in the first part that got corrupted, I promised a battle CW, so get ready! Eh... unfortunately the first file got corrupted because the batteries died in mid camera running... but I did get this entirely random piece for your complete and total torment (Or rather my self humiliation for the public good and goof off only (you'd better be laughing with me and not at me )) where you can do battle with Louie the Lumberjack as a Viking... no not the same one that happens to be the mascot of my school, this guy just happens to be a fan and somehow confuses Lumberjacks for Vikings... by the way, I randomly grabbed the background music on VG Music Archive. It's by I have a Beard and is far more awesome then what I was playing... the bad music I was referring to in the video earlier was my attempt at randomly playing a piano, a guitar and then giving a reading of soviet air land battle tactics and an interview with a Spider puppet... now that I think about it, maybe it's a good thing it was lost... anyways, here is the movie PREPARE YOURSELF! Dude there is a column on a forum index called "Views" and another called "Replies." Your thread had 0 replies but it had like 74 views the day you posted that thread. You can't say you didn't get any views. As for the replies, that I can't say. Likely, the people who viewed that thread weren't interested in the movie, or maybe they read your review and decided it wasn't their kind of movie so they didn't go see it. I mean I know I don't care about that movie.

Brawl is kind of an old game man I mean it has been out a while. I know I haven't touched it in months. Also you've got to remember the time frame dude. It's the middle of the first school semester. Most people don't have time to waste playing games with people right now, they have homework and some of them have part-time jobs.

I feel like this is kind of my fault but honestly I don't care either way about Creed getting back together. I don't like Creed but I'm not going to come in and ruin someone else's good time by saying "CREED SUCKS! I HATE YOU AND THE BANDS YOU LIKE!" I posted what I honestly did think when I saw the title of the thread because I found it humorous. And for the record rocklobster was happy about it too.

I trust you. But the links in your signature are to bands that I don't like. Why would I go, "Man, I don't like the bands in that guy's links but I'll click them anyway so I can further remind myself how much I do not care for them!" So you can see the reasoning behind me not clicking your links.

Seriously man I get lonely and upset sometimes too but still this is just a forum, you should really just relax. If this is literally your only outlet to people, then I understand how you feel and I sympathize a bit. I don't go out and make real life friends either (mostly because there's nobody my age in this area) but at the same time I don't hinge my entire social life on this ONE site. I go to other sites and talk to other people there. I have lots of friends all over the net.

So I guess seriously if it bugs you that badly you need to get out more, and I don't necessarily mean out of your house (though that works too) but get out to other sites and stuff, seriously don't base your entire social life on one place, any more than you should base it on one person in real life.

What bugged me most of all was that I have been a member here since 2004, and if I posted something, people would think it would be interesting and possibly write a response to it. I realize now that's only half true, it may or may not be interesting but it also stands if the one's who read it have time to write a response. I'm not in school anymore so I totally forgot about the mid-terms you guys have to go through...

You're right Nate, views are views and I do have quite a bit of them in my threads, that's for sure.

Regarding the Smash Bros., again I didn't take into account of the large amount of students here that need more time studying for mid-terms rather then playing games.

I've felt the same way at times. The difference is I've actually had people tell me things like "no one even listens to you" or "people don't want to hear what you say" or "most of the time you don't know what you're talking about"

I'd say just being ignored is bad enough, but sometimes that's just what happens.

As for paranormal research, I'm not really interested in it. I don't own a Wii, so no Smash bros for me, and while I did like creed, I don't pay that close attention to music anymore in general. I mostly listen to anime themes and showtunes, actually.
