Excel Saga, especially with that infamous episode 26. Animes that rely on cultural jokes seem to be released more frequently. Unfortunatley some of the jokes are lost in translation.
I wonder if Japan has the same problem when they import American comedies. After all, it's difficult to get someone to understand a cultural reference without putting in about a dozen side notes.
