Hey there! I'm Leaf. ^_^ Here's a photo of me.

I've been a serious fan of anime for about 3 years now, before then I occasionally dabbled in manga, but it wasn't as important to me as it is now. I'm a senior art major in college, and I draw fanart, illustrations, caricatures, etc.

I am also an avid cosplayer, and I love attending anime conventions. I've been to three so far, and it's taught me a lot about planning, budgeting, and wigs.

I'm typically up for series that involve action and/or romance, and I avoid anything with an art style that is too cute [i.e., Clannad or Pita-Ten]. My favorite series hands-down is Samurai Champloo, and I'm always open to new titles.

That being said, I'm excited to be here among my brothers and sisters in Christ~!

 Welcome to CAA! And if you haven't already done so, I highly recommend checking out Haibane Renmei.

Hello! Hope you have a great time here!

If you like Samurai Champloo, have you seen Cowboy Bebop? It's by the creator of SC. I have yet to watch Samurai Champloo, but Bebop was very well done.

Hey, welcome to CAA! I'm David, I'm still kind of new, and I don't watch much anime (Big O FTW; and I do read my share of manga), but don't underestimate me. I'm mostly here for the great community; you'll love it too.

Anyways, I've gotta ask about the name: Why a scalpel factory? Why not a claymore foundry?

Awesome, welcome to CAA! I'm an art major, too, except I'm a junior in college. XD Anyways, hope you like it here! Have fun, post a bunch, and I'll see you around the boards!

Hi! I'm kind of new here too, but I figure I can welcome you too. :)

And btw, that picture of you is super cute. ^^

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

@Song_of_Storms: We'll talk! I have plenty of cosplay photos and plans to share!

@rocklobster: Awesome handle, btw. What a great song. Y'know, I actually watched the last few episodes of Haibane Renmei a couple years back. I should watch the whole thing.

@Geta-Boushi-san..er, Mr. Hat'n'Clogs: I totally saw them in reverse order - SC first, then CB - I love Shinichiro Watanabe's stuff. It just makes me so glad that I'm never as broke and hungry as I think I am!

@Davidizer13:BIG O, SHOOOW TIME! ^_^ I just watched that whole series this summer, how did you know? XD As for the handle, some of my friends were making a list of stuff they thought was awesome, and they put 'gas explosion at the scalpel factory' because they couldn't decide between 'sharp things' and 'things that go BOOM' - Haha. On a more serious note, I've seen my fair share of surgery, and the Lord's blessed me through it all! :thumb:

@18thAngel: Thanks so much for the compliment! ^_^

@Lilac#18, Mr. Rogers, ShiroiHikari, and Radical Dreamer: HIYA!

Nice. Exploding scalpel factories. I'll have to remember that.

(BTW, call me David. Everyone who knows me offline seems to call me that, so I might as well stick to tradition.)
