Movie Marathon Madness

Postby wildpurplechild » Fri Oct 09, 2009 8:32 am

I've just finished watching all three extended edition Lord of the Rings movies in a row, with my sibling and my friend. That's about 11 hours of LOTR. It was so great!
What movie marathons have you watched? For how many hours?
Heads up, I don't go on this site much these days...

Try watching all three Back to the Futures in one sitting. Okay, it's not up there with Lord of the Rings, but it's still awesome!

I dedicated a whole day to the entire Heisei Godzilla series in their original uncut form. That's 7 movies and about 723 minutes or 12.2 hours.

I'd like to see someone beat that.

I've done separate marathon viewings of Vincent Price and Boris Karloff movies around Halloween, but I don't think either of those topped 7 movies (and even if they did, they wouldn't have been as long as a yer average Godzilla flick)

I've done a run through of the Lord of the Rings extended cut before, though it ate up the whole day so I'm hesitant to do something like that again.

I did the first three Indiana Jones movies in one sitting.

Yeah we started it at night and went to the morning of the next day. I got like zero sleep, yet if we wanted to watch them all again with commentary, I say BRING IT!

Yep, I've done that. It's really fun.

I've watched the Star Wars trilogy in one sitting many times as well.
