Something about it made the fact that I had to suspend it all the more obvious than previous films.

Also, this film was very bold for a kids' movie, and I appreciate that. I get tired of filmmakers dumbing everything down for kids and was really impressed to see none of that here.

Ok... I admit I jumped ahead a bit with this one. In fact, I only saw bits and pieces of it before, but I had so many friends tell me it was a straight up environmental thing, and the bits I watched seemed to match that... I had no interest in seeing Robot Captain Planet, ya know?
Because of this, I decided to watch it today, and I actually do like it. Still seems a bit on the environmentalist side, but not as bad as I'd thought by any means. And about the whole "all drains lead to the ocean" thing in Finding Nemo, until people have made mention of it's meaning I honestly thought nothing of it....
This occurred to me too, but say they were ten years apart (Muntz did look young enough in those videos to be 20-ish). If Carl saw that when he was 10 and Muntz was 20, Carl could have easily been in his mid to late sixties and Muntz in his mid to late seventies by the time they met. It made more sense when I thought about it that way. XD
Probably because I know a guy who is exactly like Mater. The people you meet when you live out in the middle of nowhere are astonishing and somewhat scary.
