Chunga's Revenge - Frank Zappa
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. A duck hears also." - Igor Stravinsky

I just bought a Jesus Wept album (forgot the name) as well as two Facedown sampler CDs (($2 and 22 tracks each! Love c28.com sometimes.))

And I also just ordered Ryashon's new album.

Picked up Lenka's album the other day; I rather like it! Really mellow but happy indie music. XD

The Best of Jennifer Knapp --so awesome. Her music is so honest --it's refreshing to listen to.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

Virgin Black -- Sombre Romantic

An absolutely excellent album. The production values are much, much better than in Requiem Mezzo Forte. Also, the Black Metal touches are genuinely creepy and work well with the slower, more mournful notes. Add all of that to explicitly-Christian-but-not-cheesy lyrics and you have a superb album.... to be played after midnight.

its pretty sad where tho only virgin black fans here!:(

fearful symmetry-this sad veil of tears

id electronic hard rock/gothic metal(unlike the deathy sound and chanting of virgin black) i foud it enjoyably for a first release as the lead singer was non-other than jimmy p. brown from the christian thrash band deliverance. the entire album has a dark feel but unlike the new progressive electronic sound of deliverance(on the newest album as above-so below):thumb:
:dance:i like bannas because they have no bones:dance:

I think that they're alright. I just like Saviour Machine much better. Of course I've only heard the CD "Elegant And Dying" by Virgin Black. Is their other stuff better than what's on that?
