Remake of True Grit

I herad the other day that there will be a remake of a John Wayne classic movie "True Grit."
The one thing is who would play the part of Rooster Cogburn played by John Wayne.
I had the thoughts of such actors Bruce Campbell, R. Lee Ermey, Mikey Roark maybe Terry "Hulk" Hogan.
You don't see too many actor or actress or movie studios doing westerns.
Maybe someone else has a idea who could be a good John Wayne style actor.
I have wonder who could play parts of characters in old movies.
Take "Bring Up Baby" with Carry Garnt and Kathlen Hepburn about a woman who has a pet leopard named Baby who sings when she sings to it and causes chaos in the small town they live in along with a escaped leopard from a traveling circus.
