Seconded. I'd like to say I'm certain they won't try to throw a cameo into the next film ala the Scarecrow at the beginning of TDK (I considered spoiler-tagging this, but it's at the beginning and largely irrelevant to the plot), but my unflagging pessimism prevents me from being so sure. If they did, I would hope it's only some sort of very minor voice clip from TDK or something (a recalled memory or something) that is insignificant in both size and plot relevance. Trying to bring in another actor for the Joker would be inexcusable from my perspective.

I think I'll answer this thread honestly now, though really I have only two villains I don't want in the next movie.

Catwoman - The reason I do not want Catwoman is simple, if Catwoman is in it, that almost completely ensures that Penguin won't be, because then it'll be too much like Batman Returns. Since I would like to see Penguin in another Batman movie, I don't want Catwoman since that lessens his chances.

Solomon Grundy - The only reason for this one is, Solomon Grundy seems more like a Superman villain than a Batman one. Due to Grundy's superhuman strength, it would be difficult for Batman to get the upper hand on him (even though in the comics Batman has done so a couple of times), which would be unsatisfying since Batman would likely have to rely on luck or a deus ex machina to defeat him.

Another Villain i don't ever wanna see in a future Batman movie is the Clock King. He sucks, plain and simple. Sorry if I offended all of you Clock King fans out there, but that's how I feel about him.

...was waiting for this one.

Solomon Grundy was originally a Green Lantern villain, but he has been passed around over the years. I don't think 'Grundy' when I think Batman.

...and I liked the Batman:TAS version of the Clock King. Also did a good job with him in Justice League Unlimited

I like the idea of the Riddler in a Batman film, but not played by Eddie Murphy. I'm sorry, that just don't fly. David Tennant, on the other hand, would have been better.

The one that I really do not ever want to see in a Nolan "Batman" movie is Ventriloquist.

Actually, iirc, The Clock King was originally a Green Arrow villain. But considering how often those two teamed up, I can see why Batman:TAS put him on the lineup.

I do want Mr. Freeze (by non other than the Austrian Death Machine himself) but I don't want the Penguin. I dunno, he's just kind of lame.
