I have an idea for the site. How about we have a section where people can post a thread where they say they have an anime-related item they're willing to trade for some other anime-related item? I'm going to be posting an item for trade myself, but I thought it would be a good idea to have some area just for that kind of thing.

In the past we have been against that for one basic reason. Such an idea would be abused by people trying to get info about other members.

I don't mean that the persons who wished to make the trade would make their personal information publicly available. If two people agree to make a trade, they can exchange their information via PM or e-mail to each other. That way they'd be perfectly safe.

Yeah, I'm afraid I'm going to have to veto this, too. It's a great idea, and in an ideal world it would be no problem, but Ark is right: the Internet is a very scary place. Unfortunately, in my years watching over CAA, we've had way, way, WAY too many scary predators on here just waiting to strike. I'm sorry, but I just can't sanction anything officially. If you wish to trade with members you trust, that's your decision, but CAA just can't support it publically.
