Pretty sweet looking. I was never a huge fan of the games, but the movie looks great.

Looks pretty good. I have enjoyed the one previous film I've seen by the director and think that this could actually work out great.

It looks like all the demons and whatnot are how they are explaining the drug freakouts from the game.

I'm not sure what to think. Part of me is cringing at the fact that the drug, Valkyr, isn't even mentioned. Another part of me is holding out hope that perhaps it can't be mentioned in a green band trailer.

I don't know. I'll hold judgement until more details surface. For now, Mark Wahlberg is a good enough sign.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

The only downside I foresee is that, even though I haven't played the game, I still hope it doesn't stray too far from the source material. I hate it when game movies do that.

I've never played the games, but they said stuff about "Valkyries" a lot, which probably refers to the drug, and the descriptions never mention anything supernatural. I'm sure it's just the drugs.

I saw some trailers too. I don't have much high hope for the movie, because though Mark Wahlberg is an adequate actor, he doesn't really seem like Max Payne to me. Also, I'm kinda... "spooked" by the addition of characters who don't appear in either of the games and those weird fallen angels. It could be that those are V-induced nightmares (in the first game, V-head junkies tend to yell tHE fLESH oF fALLEN aNGELS) but that seems like a bit of a stretch.

When it comes out, I'll try to watch it without comparing it to the games.

I would have preferred it being directed by John Woo, as it would have been a perfect full circle (as the first game is a blatant homage to his flicks). But as it stands I'm glad that it at least isn't being directed by Uwe Boll (?)

EDIT: I did notice that shoot out is taking place in the Aesir Corp. building.
