also does anyone else get the feeling that gordon's son might become robin?
Radical Dreamer (post: 1246244) wrote:
I think it would be easiest for them to do Catwoman next, if they make another. There was a line that sort of foreshadowed Catwoman for the next movie, when Bruce was talking to Lucious about his new suit and how it could withstand dogs and cats. Interesting. XD

Gosh I hope not. XD I'd really prefer Robin to stay out of these movies, honestly. XD Then again, I think it would be incredibly interesting to see how a Christopher Nolan Robin would come across. XD

1. when the Joker was finally introduced.
2. The Joker pencil kill.
3. When the motorcycle was ejected out of the Tumbler.
4. When Batman flipped the semi truck over.
5. When Batman did the wheelie thing with the motorcycle.
6. When Gordon reappeared.
And of course when the movie started, ended, and when Heath's name showed up in the credits and dedication.
The acting is great, the story is unpredictable, realistic, and great...Aaron Eckhart was stunning as Harvey...Heath Ledger really was that good. If I could shake Mr. Nolan's hand I'd cut my own hand off afterward and preserve it. He did it again, even better, and I can't wait to see where he goes next.

Now what else can I say? First of all, casting Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel? Ugh ugh ugh. She is not attractive in the least. :\ I know they couldn't get Katie Holmes to play Rachel again but geez, when the Joker is sitting there saying "My you are a beauty, aren't you?" and the woman is clearly not attractive then it kind of ruins the whole thing.
Fish and Chips (post: 1246523) wrote:
Crane is in this movie, though I can't imagine why. He's tacked on and out of character. It was much more satisfying when he got tazered on horseback in Batman Begins. That should have been the last we saw of him. Dead, or alive.

Heath Ledger's Joker was excellent, which is why I disliked it that he was left for the police to arrest. He was suitably defeated (not by Batman, but the passangers of the two ships), but the clean up was infeasible. The danger of imprisioning the Joker earlier in the film is that when he escapes it shows just how useless capturing him again would be, which is what happens. The Joker is insane, he's not going to accept defeat because his point was sabotaged, that would be too rational of him. The minute he saw neither ship destroyed the other, he simply decided to kill them both. For the Hell of it. And now that Heath Ledger's dead, he has no chance of reprising the role, which would be the only reason to leave the Joker alive. He's not Crane. He is still dangerous.

And finally, Two Face. Well-conceived, but what'll they do with him? After Commissioner Gordon's deliberately whitewashed memorial speech, they can't have him walking around downtown Gotham. Is he dead? Is he secretly incarcerated? Living in hiding?
the woman is clearly not attractive then it kind of ruins the whole thing.

Radical Dreamer (post: 1246555) wrote:
I think that Two Face is still alive. IF Nolan chooses to make a third installment, I think he's got material to work with Two Face and Catwoman (the line about cats not being able to scratch through Batman's armor subtly pointed towards that). He's probably been taken to jail, but I imagine that if Nolan does make a third movie, he'll get out somehow and become the villain next time.
