Anyone reading House of Mysteries? Highly recommended if you liked The Sandman. Cain and Abel make brief appearances. And written by the guy who writes Fables, no less!

The day it came out, I have several people inform me of it.

A thread about comics and no one's mentioned Kingdom Come? Blasphemy! :)

Seriously, Kingdom Come is one of the best comics I've ever read. It's absolutely superb as both a visual and emotional story. Anyone interested in comics at all should read it.

A really fun more "indie" comic artist to check out is Doug Tennapel. I highly recommend his graphic novel "Iron West." One of the most fun things ever drawn.

Have read a few of the different comic books from DC, Marvel, Dark Horse and a few companies out there.
A lot some of them have put out anime based comics before they were put into manga trade paperbacks.
Some companies have done or are doing anime style comics so I look for them.

I used to read comics quite a bit, but it's become more and more difficult to keep up, so I quit. DC has always been my fave company

Yeehaw Doug Tennapel *high fives*

Creature Tech is also really funny, and Tommysaurus Rex never fails to make me cry. Heck of a writer/artist, this guy is.

That's DC. The newer characters (as in any character that was not around in the Silver Age), even if very popular, are easier to kill off. Dick Grayson hasn't done anything new or interesting in a decade, but suggest he die and the fans go crazy.

They did kill Batman, though I wonder how long he'll stay dead. I'll go 12 months, max. Probably more like 6. It was actually his turn. He's the only major DC character that hasn't died.
