You got to play 0rigins early and talk to Akira Yamaoka? You. Are. My. Hero.

So I got my copy of SH: 0rigins on its release day (which turned out to be the 7th) and here's my impression so far:
I'm currently in the second stage (third if you count the burning house as the "first"). It was cool that they brought back the Alchemilla Hospital. Even the map layout is the same. But that whole stage felt kind of rushed. Like, "We've gotta put a Hospital level in there, it's pretty much obligatory, so let's just get it out of the way early and we can make it relatively short, too." Plus the character introduction isn't paced that well; by the time you're through the Hospital, you've already met all the supporting characters. I'm also having a hard time coming up with a reason for the Patient and Nurse demons, aside from "They were popular before and in the movie, so let's put 'em in here."
But these are just my own little nitpicks. On the whole I'd say it's a great game so far and the new team really did the series justice.

Well, I beat Call of Duty 4 couples of days back and now I'm working on veteran mode. Oddly, it's not as hard as Call of Duty 2's veteran mode. So far....

In other news, I've been trying out Gears of Wars on the PC. Looks great and runs fairly smooth on my PC (Dual Core @ 2.4ghz, 2 gigs of RAM, 256 Geforce 8600 GT). However, the game has crashed about six times on me now. :( Strangely, only twice during actual gameplay and the other 4 times where when I was adjusting settings in the menu. Since Gears has a pretty good checkpoint system, it's not a major deal for me. -Still want it fixed though.

Anyways, I just got to the new level for the PC version and I can already say that it is nicely open compared to the other levels.

O'yeah, I have also been playing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Wii. I'm at chapter 12 and the story is pretty good so far. I'm really enjoying the mix of new and old faces. However, I was pretty disappointed by the new support system. Very little character chatter and almost no character development to be found there. Make sure to checked out the "info" tab in the in-between mission area for all the bonus story stuff.

Other than that, it's basically Fire Emblem on the Gamecube. Not a bad thing, if you don't mind the lackluster battle animations. -which I recommended turning off.

I've finally got my hands on Discworld! So far, I have to say this is the funniest game I've ever played. Unfortunately, it's also one of the most difficult. I think I'll be using a walkthrough...

Runaway: A Road Adventure.

So far, this game is really, really terrible. Bad acting, bad script, boring plot, boring characters, ugly cutscenes, overused adventure clichés...In-game graphics are nice, though. And hey, it has to get better at some point...doesn't it?

Well, I dunno. I looked it up, and a lot of people seem to really love this game. XD Heck if I know why, but hey, people enjoyed it enough for there to apparently be a sequel.

I'll be going back to folklore as soon at the term ends... I hope to finish all the games I own that I haven't beaten yet, except perhaps Wildarms 3... That means over the break, I'll have

1. Folklore
2. Ninja Gaiden Sigma
3. Heavenly Sword (just need that freaking last chapter, can't get past it!!)
4. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
5. Final Fantasy XII
6. Portable ops (yeah, first my game breaks, then I get it on gamefly but I haven't touched my PSP since I got my laptop... I need to remedy that.)
7. I can't beat it (it doesn't end) but I'll be playing Warhawk when my friend is online.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

I just got a Wii! It was an early Christmas gift from Santa Me. I found it at Target, they had four of them. Either they're getting easier to find (which I doubt) or I just got extremely lucky. I bought Rayman Raving Rabbids and Metroid Prime 3 with it. I've no idea what's going on in Metroid though. Guess I'll have to play the first two games.
