I must say Im surprised to see that no one has made a thread about this movie. I just saw the movie today and in my opinion this movie rocks! Anyone who plays an instrument should definitely see this movie. Man that kid was most certainly a prodigy to have been able to play those instruments so well. Even my best friend said the kid was better than himself, and my friend has been playing the piano for about 10 years and the kid was only 11! Ive been playing for about 7 years.

I am most certainly getting this on dvd when it comes out.

It looks really interesting....Being a guy who has a soundtrack running through his head all the time I might be able to relate....though, usually it's someone elses soundtrack.....

I know this thread is old, but I didn't want to start a new one.

I saw this movie last night and actually found it to be pretty awful. The plot had more holes than a moth-eaten old sweater.

Did anyone else watch it?

Well thats your opinion I guess. I really liked but mainly because of the music part. Are you a musician? Or do you appreciate music? If not then you might not enjoy the movie that much or it could have been the storyline but I didn't really see that many problems. Because my best friend and I play the piano and have been for some years, this is probably why we liked it. I doubt the other guys in my class would enjoy it as much as we did though because they don't play any instruments.

I'm not a musician per se, but I do love music, know a lot about music and have some talent, and that's why the movie bothered me so much. Sounds odd, I know, but everyone looked so fake when they "played" their instrumets, which shattered my sense of disbelief.

I also just didn't think it was feasible enough-- seriously, who could possibly learn notation and theory in one day? I could buy him being able to compose, but to learn all that stuff like that? I just couldn't accept that.

Overall, it felt like a movie that was written by people who didn't know anything about music. :\

The soundtrack was pretty awesome though. I thought about buying it.

Gotta agree with you points Shiroir the plot sucked and when the boy was playing the guitar in the park it cut in and out of some dude in a small jacket playing the guitar. I found it enjoyible none the less even with a Meh plot and the bad editing. The music (even though it wasn't played all by the boy) i still found steller and so it made it a memourable movie to me

As I said the music is what I liked about the movie. As long as you don't say that the music was horrible than I won't argue with you. I mean I personally thought it was a cool way to find his parents, thats all.
