Anyone heard of Godtube?....

It's baisically like Youtube, but, as you can probably guess, it is a video hosting web site that will hopefully spread the message of the gospel....

And though it's in the beta stages right now, there is already a lot of activity there...

The videos on that site are exactly the kind of videos atheists use to call Christians ignorant. I as well wish them luck, but I thought the site was full of ridiculously stupid videos and I won't waste my time there.

(Me, I never bothered. I don't see what'd they have that'd interest me... I wouldn't mind if it was high quality stuff with Christian messages, but most of this stuff comes off as just sterilizing secular videos. At least of what I've seen.)

(Of course, it's a bit moot now, since both YouTube and GodTube are useless to me, as my laptop doesn't have a sound card.)

I kind of wish someone would get an original idea and be organized/ran by christians or something but allowed non-Christian activity as well as long as it wasn't offensive or whatever. Just it seems the thing for Christians to copy something successful and make it Christian. Christian myspace (forgot what its called), GodTube... etc. Why not using myspace or Youtube and putting content on it thats christian rather than making your own site just for your stuff which is really just gonna bring vultures.

It is a nice idea I guess but, I don't think its gonna work, and the trolls are enough to keep me away. I would like to just quality Christian stuff coming up on Youtube or something where its actually reaching out to people and standing out in a bunch of garbage rather than putting it on a site that only christians and anti Christians are ever gonna visit, filled with half-baked crappy christian video garbage.

I would like to see a trend started by a christian group, ran by christians where the secular crowd would be trying to copy them instead of us always copying whatever is popular at the time.

Oh I just watched the banana thing -_- I had never seen that before. Wow... that was bad. I can't believe they actually went on air with that. I guess we were not meant to eat a coconut?

Lots of very hateful videos that play into the generally negative stereotype of christians. I don't wish this site well at all.

The "Lifehouse 'Everything' skit" is really good, though. It's the only thing I've seen on the site, but it is an amazing drama. Some of the college students performed it last Tuesday at our Bible study/worship service.
