That's why I said "outside of threads"

that way, i could send one about usernames, for instance...

I recommend reporting a post somewhat related and just clarifying via your explanation. In the case of a username, just select a post of the user at random and state as much. Others have done similar things and it has worked fairly well. This doesn't solve everything, I know, but it helps and doesn't require changes.
