Has anyone read any of this manga? I read a couple chapters a long time ago and I liked the art a lot. ^_^ Anyway, I know the manga is coming out this spring from Tokyopop and if anyone has read kinda far into it, how is the content and such and do you think it's worth buying? Also, does anyone know how many volumes it is or if it's still running in Japan?

although relatively new, DNAngel is completed with 6 volumes (as far as i know)~ i used to be interested in it, but sadly since it got translated into english EVERYONE likes it and talks about it ALL. THE. TIME.(just like inuyasha) and so i have lost interest in it... i'm still thinking whether i should buy it myself! i have seen some of it inside, and lots of arts, and besides a good-looking mischevious boy which decides frequently to go around shirtless and his black wings there is nothing that bad... but i strongly suggest you wait for someone else's input~

Actually the series keeeps on going. Right now there are 9 books out. (yes, I am a hopeless manga junkie, if you were wondering)

I would highly reccomend DNAngel. Not only is the art absolutely BEAUTIFUL (I've looked up to Yukiru Sugisaki's art for a very long time), the plot is cute and there is little, if any fanservice (okay, the kaitou Dark appears shirtless a lot, but it's nothing too objectionable. I'm a shameless fangirl, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest :sweat:

), very mild language, and a tad bit of violence - none of which is unecessary.

What is DNAngel? Could you name a similar manga? I think Pilot Candidate is byt the same person... and I really enjoyed that anime and am waiting for the mana...From what I heard of DN Angel it is a romance story? If so, it's probably not for me...

Yep, DNAngel is very much a romance story. And yes, Megami Kohousei/Pilot Canidate is also by Yukiru Sugisaki. So is Brain Powered and Lagoon Engine.

"Pilot Candidate"? i thought it was "Candidate for Goddess" ? is it two different series or a different name for the same one? ?__?

Here is a french summary for "DNAngel":
"Daisuke Niwa did not know about a particular gift he received for his 14th birthday: he is in fact capable of transforming into a legendary thief, Dark [Mousy]. Sadly for him, he is incapable of controling this metamorphosis: it comes each time that he is in the presence of his crush, Risa, who in fact does not return his feelings but loves Dark in secret! Risa's twin sister, ironically, is in love with Daisuke, but Dark has put his eye on her! Daisuke is therefore trapped in a four-sided love triangle! And he will not be able to turn back until he has felt a mutual love. Things are far from over!"

Pilot Candidate and Candidate for Goddess are the exact same series, just 2 different names, so no worries! ^_^

I'm seriously considering getting DNAngel when it comes out now.
