SCANDAL: What's hot in Korean Chinese music

Shout out to those who has been paying attention to the latest in Korean or Chinese music.

I've recently been nosing around what's new in Asian market and suddenly realized how much the music is strongly moving towards R&B/Rap. These observations are mostly based on LeeHom, Vanness/Kangta's latest collaboration SCANDAL and some tidbits on other Korean artists such as BoA and Rain.

I can understand where LeeHom is coming from since he was born in the U.S. However, he introduces a slightly more unique concept of combining R&B/Rap/Pop with traditional Chinese elements (i.e. Chinese opera), giving birth to the term "Chinked out." I respect his work because he's not neglecting his Chinese roots. Hehehehe :thumb: [Pardon the Asian pride]

Now, I've just listened and watched the MV of SCANDAL. The themes aren't too different from what I've seen in U.S. music (i.e. sexy chicks dancing in the clubs, breaking the law, acting touch and cool.) :eh: I like the music and so far I believe the lyrics are still decent.

But it does make me wonder whether Korean/Chinese popular music is headed towards becoming saturated with sex, obscenities, crime and all those less-than-desirable stuff we already have in the U.S.

OR....just tell me the truth: This style has been around for a long time and I'm only realizing it now that I'm back in this region. XD;;

Eitherways, if anyone is a Korean or/and Chinese music fan, please shout out. I need recommendations! XD Right now, I'm gonna check out Kangta's solo albums. His music is looking pretty interesting so far.

I'm not really sure about any of the Korean or Chinese music...Though I do know that rap is the fast growing music trend in China.

I am convinced that many men who preach the gospel and love the Lord are really misunderstood. People make a “profession,â€
