Who are your favorite characters and why?

My favorite male anime character is Amasawa Seiji from the movie "Whisper of the Heart".
I just watched the movie a few days ago, and I just love his character!! He plays the Violin, and he's really cool. ^_^

My favorite female anime character is Toin Rina from the series "Mermaid Melody".
I like Rina cuzz she's very laid back, but can be silly too.

How about you? I'm sure we've had topics like this...but I was just wondering since people change their favorite characters after a while I'm sure. ^_^

Favorite male character...That probably goes to...hmm...Either Takuto (FMS), Fai (Tsubasa), or Kenshin (Ruroken). XD Kenshin for nostalgic value and becuase he's just awesome, Fai because he's always so laid back and never lets anything get to him, and Takuto because I just really like his character.

As for my favorite female character, I'll have to go with either Meroko (FMS), Haruko (AIR), or Yotsuba (From a manga, I know, but still. XD). Both Meroko and Haruko have incredible character development and very likable personalities (at least at certain points in their respective anime), and Yotsuba is just adorable! And funny!

My favorite characters are:
Midou Ban (from Getbackers), Kenji (from 20th Century Boys), and Gon (from HxH).
Midou Ban because he's super cool, he's smart, he's strong and fast, and he can always remain calm during intense situations. Although he may seem sort of mean, he has a nice side and he's always looking out for Gingi like a brother. His personality is the type that I like in a manga character and the way he fights is just plain awesome. With his "evil eye".

Kenji is a great guy. He leads a normal life but is one of the most acknowlegeable characters I have ever seen (in a manga). He looks out for his niece since her mother disappeared, he's brave, he fights for what he believes in, and he's a very good role model. He excercises self-discipline and he's responsible. He's basically a normal guy put inside a complex story. He has his own dreams and ambitions, his own childhood friends, and his own family and financial problems. The way he takes on all these things in such a brilliant way makes him one of my favorite characters.

Gon is so cool. He's this little guy out on a bizarre adventure to be just like his dad, and find his dad. He's always cheerful and innocent. He's extremely easy to get along with, he's determined, he's trustworthy, and he's only 12 years old! He'd make a great younger brother and also make a great friend. He's someone you can share your problems with and his way of thinking is hilarious.

My Top 5 favorite anime characters are, in no particular order:
Momo Adachi from Peach Girl, of course. She reminds me a lot of my real-life best friend Carly. She's pretty much just a nice, normal teenage girl dealing with young love and growing up, something every girl can relate to.

Usagi Tsukino/Serena/Sailor Moon. She's just really cute and loveable and a really good, noble, loyal character. I like pretty much all the Sailor Senshi/Scouts, but Usagi really shines the brightest of all. Who knew a ditz could be so charismatic?

Utena Tenjou from Revolutionary Girl Utena. She just rocks my socks off! She's just just cooler than cooler, and really nice and kind too. I love how she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She just personifies the virtues nobility and sincerity, exactly the type of girl I'd want as a friend or family member. Plus, she wears the coolest clothes, has pink hair, and is great at sports!

Nanami Kiryuu from Utena. She's just funny.

Rei Hino/Raye/Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon. Next to Usagi, she makes the show.

I chose all female characters since that's who, being a girl, I relate to and emphasize with, but, for guys, I really like Mamoru Chiba/Darien/Tuxedo Mask(Kamen)/Endymion from Sailor Moon, Miki Kaoru from Utena, Takuto from Full Moon Wo Sagishite, and Limone from Wedding Peach.

1.Silent Mobius:Yuki Saiko,she's just so durn cute and loveable and was the first anime femme I fell in love with.Plus she's played by Kelly 'Sango' Sheridan!:)
2.Inuyasha:Kagome,When I get married I want someone like her for my wife.She's sweet and very kind even though she does get a bit riled from time to time,then again Inuyasha DOES deserve to SIT! when she yells at him.
3.Dual:Guess who!Yup,Mitsuki Sanada.

6.Serial Experiments Lain:Alice,I think in many ways she's the real heroine of the series because all she goes through with Lain.
7.Cowboy Bebop:toughie but I have to go with Spike,the dude's just plain cool.

12.RahXephon:Haruka,tough,kind,gentle and that braid looks good on her.
13.Excel Saga:Excel,crazy,a bit twisted,a total nut job but fun to watch.
14.Ah!My Goddess:Belldandy,makes you wish she'd appear in your home.
15.Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040:Priss,tough and a great singer!
16.Robotech:Waiting for the DVDs but from the novels it would have to be Lynn Minmei.

19.Sailor Moon:Ami/Sailor Mercury,quiet and sweet and smart and pretty.
