I'm trying to decide which I am going to ask for for christmas. rurouni kenshin
outlaw star
last exile

Don't like Ruroni Kenshin. Never seen Outlaw Star (though I've always wanted to). Really like Last Exile.

i have seen both outlaw star and rurouni kenshin, at least to the part where shishio was defeated, and between the two i like rurouni kenshin more, there's a certain shallowness and fanservicey aspect to outlaw star that tends to cause me to not want that series, but hey, that's just me, you should also check out the caa reviews for those titles too, that could help you in your decision making

I like bother kenshin and outlaw star, but I heard from friends last exile is a good series too. Have you seen any of the three series? If it were me, I would get the series I have yet to see. Good luck in deciding.

I may be incredibly bias since Last Exile is my favourite anime series, but I've seen some of Kenshin and thought some parts were very good and some parts very not so good. I haven't seen Outlaw Star so I can't comment on that one. Last Exile it is!

Maybe you can rent them all first then see what you would actually like to invest in. ^^V

Kenshin is, by far, the longest ofthe three series. Outlaw Star and Last Exile can both be bought in a single boxset. That may be worth considering.

Here's a way to use a coin flip with three choices:

Flip 1
Heads = Kenshin
Tails = Outlaw

Flip 2
Heads = Outlaw
Tails = Exile

Flip 3
Heads = Exile
Tails = Kenshin

Each title wins on heads once and on tails once. One and only one title will win two flips. That is your winner.

debate between the three to see which two has the best qualities. Once you've chosen the two, flip a coin, assigning one title to each side.

...or, use termyt's idea. That's probably the best way.

I wouldn't bother with Kenshin mainly because it costs more than any of the others...I'd say go with the cheapest (which is the most likely you'll get.)

Compromise and get Crest/Banner of the Stars instead!

I tell you get Crest/Banner of the Stars one of the best if not THE best anime space opera out there.

I've seen five episodes of Outlaw Star, nine of Last Exile, and Rurouni Kenshin until slightly beyond the Kyoto arc. I would recommend Rurouni Kenshin as being the best of the three, but I'm biased in favor of Samurai anime. Outlaw Star comes in second because it's very interesting and exciting. I don't like the anti-chivalry messages in Last Exile, so I'd place that last, but it is a good series nonetheless.

Well, I've only seen Rurouni, but it's one of my favorite shows! But, whichever show you do buy, don't get it from that site. That was a bootlegged copy of Kenshin. Buy it from Overstock, and make sure you're getting a brown box. As far as the other two are concerned, I'm not really sure.

Kenshin= fuedal japan sword fighting and action

outlaw star= space western with cool ship fights and gunfights

Last exile=quasi modern day/ww2 ish war anime

Personal taste really... But Personally I would be hard up between outlaw star and last exile, why? Because my personal taste.

Last Exile is an anime of the steampunk genre.

Last Exile. I'd say Kenshin, but it's a little harder to get into, IMO.
