The price and release date has been posted by Funimation now.

Street date will be Jan 27 and the price will be $29.98 for just the volume and $34.98 for the volume with artbox.


The reason for the other price is, the price list that first came out with the news was a price list from online stores and didn't come from Funimation.

So no boxset from Funimation like they did with Ouran High School Host Club. Beccano will be a single relase.

Right Stuf and its Nozomi Entertainment division are very pleased to announce The Irresponsible Captain Tylor TV Series Remastered DVD Collection will be available on May 26, 2009! As its name suggests, it will include the complete 26-episode TV series -- with remastered video from the Japanese DVD release -- as well as soft subtitles. (This release also marks the first time the series will be available to North American audiences with the original Japanese eye-catches, openings and closings and without digital overlays for signs and other on-screen text.) Plus, as a service to long-time fans who have the series via one of our previous DVD releases, we'll be offering a trade-in program. There will be more news about that a little later this month!

The North American distributor Funimation has announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Kazuki Akane and BONES' Heat Guy J television anime series from CREi. The science-fiction crime drama features scriptwriter Hiroshi Ohnogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Noein - to your other self, Arjuna) and character designer Nobuteru Yuki (Escaflowne, X, Record of Lodoss War). In the story, Special Services Division operative Daisuke Aurora and his android partner "J" root out the mafia elements in the oceanic city-nation of Judoh.

Funimation will release the entire 26-episode anime series in a box set later this year. Geneon Entertainment had previously released this anime in North America before it ceased in-house distribution of its own titles in September 2007.

The Right Stuf online retailer lists four former Central Park Media (CPM) anime titles — Grave of the Fireflies (pictured at right), Now and Then, Here and There (pictured below), The World of Narue, and MD Geist — as July DVD releases from A.D. Vision. Isao Takahata and Studio Ghibli's acclaimed film adaptation of Akiyuki Nosaka's wartime Grave of the Fireflies novel will ship on July 7. Akitaro Daichi and AIC's complete Now and Then, Here and There science-fiction adventure series will ship on the same day, after being televised on America's International Channel in 2005 and more recently on the Sci Fi Channel.

Toyoo Ashida and Media Factory's complete The World of Narue romantic comedy series will follow on DVD on July 21. It previously ran on ImaginAsianTV in 2005. MD Geist, Hayato Ikeda and Koichi Ohata's robotic mecha anime video that inspired the logo of CPM's U.S. Manga Corps label, will ship on July 28. Central Park Media filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last month after not having shipped a new anime or manga title in over a year.

Sentai Filmworks has finally recorded a dub for Clannad, Ghost Hound, Legends of the Dark King - A Fist of the North Star Story and Tears to Tiara.

Ooh, they're dubbing Clannad?? Nice! 'Cause I've been wanting to watch it, but it's only out in Japanese. I don't mind watching it in it's original language (especially since I am learning), but I still am a fan of dubs.
