Yes. Gundam Seed is the one everybody knows and loves, Seed:Destiny is the sequal. Happens like one or two years after Gundam Seed. I can't wait for it ;)
A nightingale in a golden cage
That's me locked inside reality's maze
Come someone make my heavy heart light
Come undone, bring me back to life
It all starts with a lullaby

I'm working on Cowboy Bebop the Movie if no one else is doing it.

sorry for the double post, but if you look *looks* they were about 5 days apart.
any way, I'ld appreciate a review of Saikano or She the Ultimate Weapon.

If no one else is doing one, I'm thinking of making a review on Blackjack (It'll only be the first 6 episodes though).

Unless there's a compelling reason -- and to be sure, exceptions have been made for popular or significant series -- a full review would be preferred, even if it has to be delayed.

I don't know if the PMs are working on the temp boards, so I'll post here. My review for CCS is almost done, and I can have it finished this weekend. Will that work on the temp boards, or shall I wait until everything is back to normal. Also I can write a review for Tenchi Muyo GXP, and get started on Saiyuki if desired.

Question: I have a complete review that I'm going ot submit, but should I wait until we get back to the REAL board to do it?
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I think a moddie is going to do NGE [because they don't want any members being bloodied by angry NGE fans. ]

I'd be very interest to see a Fuushi Yuugi(sp?) review. I've always been drawn to Yuu Watase's titles, but I never partake of any of her stuff without sufficent Christian reviews.

I've written a few reviews, so I'll PM you with some hints, okay?

I believe you may submit it here, but don't delete your own copy.

Not a job I'd want to handle.

Here's a question. Would you want a review of Gantz when the volumes are completed or is that under the category of "too extreme."?

From what I've heard/seen of Gantz, I would classify it as too extreme, but I don't believe it's been placed on the "Do Not Discuss" list yet.

Also, just providing an update on the reviews I'm working on. Along with those listed in that first post by Gypsy (see page one of this thread), I'm also working on the original Gundam series, the original Gundam movies, Gundam Seed, Marmalade Boy, and Aura Battler Dunbine (the last three being the only ones I never got a chance to let Gypsy know about). I'm working on Gundam Seed and Marmalade Boy as they come out, and I'm slowly working on all of these as I get the content, etc. ready for writing the reviews.

I'm going to try and get those original Gundam reviews done very soon.

*cracks knuckles* Time to get to work! :)

I submitted two reviews yesterday, and it accepted them. I guess a mod could make sure that it went through to the other end, though. Shoo's in charge of reviews right now, right?

Yes.

As for NGE, no user reviews will be accepted -- that's mod territory. If one is submitted by a user, it will be ignored.

Are these done by need or interest? If I do something obscure, will it be used or just considered a waste of space?

Either. Obscure reviews accepted, too, although obviously we won't be able to do much fact checking if we don't know the series, so don't embarrass us. ^^

Ah, you mean If I claim that Kekko Kamen is a joyful time for the whole family or that Angel Cop is a fluffy light comedy with hardly any violence to speak of, you'll hunt me down if it's the last thing you do? ;)

Unfortunately for you, I *can* look series up, before you post a laudatory review about the Great Toenail. ^^

Ah, at least someone got the joke. I was beginning to worry someone would think I was serious.

That reminds me, do you guys only want reviews on good stuff or are the "Stay Away!" reviews welcome too? I don't mean hentai of course, but now that ADV is releasing a lot of mature stuff and a lot of teens are tempted to look at it, so I thought it might be useful to cover some.

In Gypsy's absence (she can make the final ruling), I'm going to state this:

- If it's sold on the company's adult label, and I know ADV has an adult product line sold under a different brand name, for example, then no reviews, please. I think these would be obvious adult material, and need no review to confirm it.

- Titles that actually carry 18+ or 21+ ratings (not our rating, but the actual labeled rating from the publisher) not covered by the above condition should be approved by a staffer before starting the review.

Otherwise, review at your discretion, and ask about specific series in PM if you are unsure. We've reviewed more mature fare (Akira, or Ghost in the Shell, for example), so this is not a big deal as long as it's not obvious porno.

Sounds reasonable. SOme of the titles I was considering were not from the porn distributors, but use the TV rating system's TVMA. Maybe I'll do a few to let members know it's NOT the same thing as "South Park."

I think two more examples are those we did for the Ninja Scroll movie and series. Because of there popularity, I think its important to have a review on certain high profile but filthy movies so that people don't get drawn into them because of their popularity.

Very good point, CDL. Although I would never prefer to actually watch one of those more objectionable series, it may, in some cases, serve a better good than a bad. Perhaps.
