What also ruined it was the fact that the dub I watched (on TV) showed Japanese writing for the dialogue of the characters when outside the game but with no English translation so I completely missed those bits. This was a significant problem at the end, which happens outside the game, but you don't have a clue what anyone's saying. I think if I see it again, with those parts in English, I'd enjoy it more.

Agreed here. .hack//Sign isn't a BAD series, per se, but you have to watch all the way from beginning to end to realy get the hang of what's going on. I think that's where I became disenchanted with it.

I didn't like .hack//Legend of the Twilight - "Rena!"... "Shugo!"... "Rena!"... "Shugo!"... "Rena!"... "Shugo!"... "Rena!"... "Shugo!" Really... it gets a bit much after a while. It also seemed to be aimed at a younger audience.

Gee...why does that sound familiar...

For me, it would have to be everything after the Orange League in Pokemon. That was the first anime I watched, and I remember being all into it until it went to Johto, where after that it seemed every episode was exactly the same. That may have been the reason why I stopped watching anime for 6 years or so, because I thought that's the way all anime were.

Some of it I didn't understand and got irritated at Chris who gets annoyed with Juna when she can't get anything right, but he won't tell her what she is supposed to do either. If I was her I would have freaked out/slapped at him. Also it’s like a "technology = bad/nature = good/tree hugger" lecture every episode.

Earth Girl Arjuna, YUCK! I didn't watch the whole thing either. I don't need no ecohippies preaching to me, especially not in the anime I watch. XD

I think that's when we ALL gave up on Pokemon. I know I did...

Though the Johto theme song was really cool to listen to...for all of 15 minutes.

WOW. O.o (Stunned momentarily)

I didn't realize so many people hated Final Fantasy: Advent Children. >.< *winces* I guess I am predujicied because the people who addicted me to the manga/anime world are SUPER Final Fantasy VII fans. This was the VERY first anime(ish) movie I had ever seen. Honestly, I didn't get the movie AT ALL at first. Then my friends explained the backstory to me and I IMMEDIATELY was addicted. I can understand the whole fanservice bit. but hey what's a good movie without sexy characters. Except teh whole bit with Tifa and Aerith. well they really...were.. yeaahhh thats sad. >,< I guess I have issues because I CRY my eyes out every time Kadaj dies. and thats the ONLY movie that will make me cry... NOT EVEN TITANIC makes me cry... but then I'm twisted so hey it kinda makes sense.

There is not much character development to the movie I will admit. It is NOT the kind of movie you can just get. It took me about 5 tries to enjoy this movie.

The plot = Cloud = good guy emofied. Kadaj = bad guy with issues but really only needing love . The movie centrals around Cloud's blaming himself for Aerith's death. Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz are the 3 different embodiements of Sephiroth's soul. By consuming Jenova cells Kadaj turns into Sephiroth. However Kadaj believes that by consuming Jenova cells he will finally gain the love he's been searching for. Sephiroth fights Cloud. Cloud wins. Cloud finally realizes that he wasn't at fault for Aerith's death and that he has friends to live for is resolved.

It's not a terribly in depth movie i know. I'm weird that way. I like things other ppl find odd.

I understood the plot, what was there. But it was heavily watered down. Then you have half the cast who only shows up for that one scene in Midgar.

Advent Children was excellent from an animation perspective, but only decent as an actual film.

Dominion Tank Police. Hard to believe this is from the same genius who gave us Ghost in the Shell.

Pssh. Titanic was way overrated. I didn't feel for any of the characters, AT ALL. The one part I got choked up in my throat was when the ship was nearly sunk, and there was a priest reading Revelation to a bunch of people: "And he shall wipe every tear from their eyes..."

I have to change my opinion... it now has to be the final five episodes of Evangelion, after just finishing it. I'm not trying to discuss it or anything (so please don't ban me!), I just have to say that I liked it up until episode 22, and then it turned really depressing.
