Postby mssthang_1 » Tue Aug 29, 2006 8:25 am

i have just recently discovered a show on t.v. called kodocha, i've only seen a few episodses, i'm more of a shonen type of person, but kodocha caught my attention some how. i was wonderin' if anybody else watched or liked it.

I've been collecting this and so far there are 8 volumes released from Funimation. The beginning is very fast paced in regard to Sana's hyperactivity and her battles against the school's "Monkey Boys." In fact, you spend almost 5 or 6 volumes just getting to know the characters and their various traits and watching some of the changes that take place in their development. It hasn't been until the last couple of volumes that things have slowed down a tad and Sana and gang start to more forward in regard to relationships and daily life as she juggles being a schoolkid, working as an actress and surviving family life and firends.

Overall it's a decent series. There had been a lot of hype prior to it's release, but I've yet to see it actually reach the level that many had placed it on. But still all in all good for a few laughs.

An old favorite of mine. This one is largely responsible for my anime addiction.

i usually dont like the anime that is all about younger kids and the whole "slice of life anime" but this is one of the few that i really love. i watch it on the funi channel and even tho they are playing reruns now i still love the show. i love how sana is always happy even any other person wouldnt be and how she is constantly trying to help other people. this is quickly .becoming one of my favorite shows . lol

I love this anime so much. I've seen up too volume 5. I just love Sana and how they make it so serious but funny at the same time. It is super expensive since 24 dvds are going to be released.

I read the manga a few years ago and thought it was marginally cute, but a tad hard to follow. Perhaps because I am a male? So I kind of drug my feet on watching the anime, but I have to admit I've fallen in love with Sana. I love her high-octane antics and unwavering positive attitude she approaches life’s problems with. And she does have her share of problems.

It's a fun series, with it's serious messages presented in a down to earth manner. I myself preferred the manga version to the somewhat manic flow of the anime (which is to say I still enjoyed Kodocha TV).

Finally started watching Kodocha. I've only seen DVDs 1 & 2, but I'm already hooked enough that I want to just buy the DVDs! I'm getting a real kick out of the whole show!

It is one anime with which I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED (I mean...just look at the Avatar! ^_^) However, I think the anime is better than the manga up until about the 18th or 19th episode, and then from there, the manga is a whole lot better. But, I think the amazing hyperness it purports in just the first 2 episodes is amazing enough to make up for absolutely anything it lacks.....
