Excellet review Gypsy. Angelic Layer is also one of my favorite series. It's very family friendly. I have the first 3 volumes and have watched it all in dubbed format. To my knowledge I have yet to hear any bad language.

I've only heard of it, and this was the first time I had heard the plot line. Sounds really cool. How many DVD's are there? I know some of these 26 ep series are six, some eight. FLCL managed 3 DVDs for six eps. Just wondering, cos I am rather poor, and anime rentals in this nation leave MUCH to be desired. Great review Gypsy!

Yes, Gypsy, that was an excellent review. Comprehensive and accurate. I too would recommend Angelic Layer to anyone--it is a great series and is quickly earning its place on my Top Ten (all time) favorite animes list. It's one of those animes where it's hard to watch an episode and not feel good afterwards. :) I own the first two DVD's of the anime (4 episodes each), as well as the complete manga. Now you have me intrigued, Gypsy, with your comment about how the endings to the anime and manga are like black and white!

And yes, I want an angel too!

I defenitly agree - Angelic Layer has been a favorite of mine ever since I got the first manga. It's no wonder why I'm always poor - I kept buying the mangas... and the DVDs when they came out as well XD It's a big thing for me to find an anime that doesn't step across any religious boundaries or involve too much violence and gore... since it doesn't I would reccomend it to anyone ^^ Very much a feel-good anime.

*nods*

Yeah, it does feel good to sit down and watch an entire series without having to worry about anything. And I totally understand about being poverty stricken from anime!

Great review! I really really want to see this series, but haven't been able to get my hands on it yet >> Of course, I love anything by CLAMP, so I'm going to have to get it somehow ^^ ::is determind::
