Futakoi Alternative

Postby FadedOne » Thu Jun 29, 2006 11:50 pm

I just started watching a series called Futakoi Alternative. Apparently it's very loosely related to the anime 'Futakoi' but has a much different plot slant? ( i haven't watched that one, but i've read this in a review).

Anyways, really liking it so far. The twins are undeniably cute & wacky. The plot runs something like FLCL in that you have to pay alot of attention to catch the hidden jokes & plot jumps. Plus it's so....random. Aliens? Smiley Yakuza? Random psychotic people? croquettes? explosions!? I LOVE IT. oh and did I mention cuteness?

The art is quite impressive. Reminds me of a mix of Lost Exile and Honey & Clover. But that's just me. Plus the plot randomly switches from color to antique browns to black & white. Alot of off the wall comedy too. ^_^ yeah. ok, I think i'm getting addicted.

Admittedly, looks like there will be a decent opportunity for fanservice. Not sure whether that will happen or not since i'm only 4 episodes in. personally I dont mind if it does, but some will, so there's that warning.

Anyways....it's currently fansubbed & unlicensed. Go get it on AnimeSuki! And if you've seen it, feel free to talk. (just dont give spoilers or i will kill you ^_^)

Futakoi Alternative rocks! I downloaded it all, but I think I deleted it XD I needed more room!

Btw, dont watch Futakoi. It was pretty bad, pointless, dumb, and retarded. It was so lame.
