I hear ya man. I'm actually one of the lucky ones. One of my friends is 1/4 Japanese and he took me to his Japanese classes once  Twas fun, but I don't see him as much nowadays.

I was in youth service last night and I realized what I had been thinking for a while,,that when you understand it is because you have chosen to understand..one chooses to be in the light or in the dark about things..and while its about connection to oneself or to others that also applies to self appointing and the selectiong of self into understanding..you choose to understand and we can be friends..:thumb:

i wish to befriend a person of about a year and a half ago in time, and speak of matter relating to the bumping of ancient threads. it is glorious that there would be a fellow person of the same beliefs as mine and be able to communicate with him or her through this amazing time machine. I thank you my temporally offset friend.

I have a friend in Japan who I befriended by means of a book called "The Visiting Fireman" He listed his name, address, email address, fire dept rank and interest in EMS info from around the world.
When I started emailing him he was a Sgt. He is now a captain in the Toyko Fire Dept EMS.
He said he not that much into anime but had read manga based on the story of Firefighter Daigo of Fire Company M.
He sent me one of his uniforms which I have worn at anime cons.
He has been to the US where he got to ride with EMS crews from Philadelphia. PA.

Ummm...right. The only 100% Japanese person was this girl from Michigan, and she wasn't my friend. XD But I didn't hate her. Others were only part Japanese. You don't see much of the purebloods in the US, except for maybe Hawaii and California.
