About Fruits Basket's Akito...

I just heard Akito is a female, although I've always considered her as a male.

Is this fact told in the FuruBa anime? I mean, I've watched the anime and even the subtitles said "he" when talking about her.. So is her real gender revealed only in the manga?

in the manga akito is a girl but in the anime they changed it to a guy.

they always kept it a guy in the anime. i never really figured out why tho

[spoiler]The manga didn't even get far enough to say it was a girl before the anime ended, so they assumed that he was a guy throughout the whole thing, never "changed it".[/spoiler]

(Because spoiler tags would be a good thing in this topic^^ I know I spoiled the whoel thing to mysekf a while back already). I'm sure if they ever make a second season of the show, they MAY make the change, I'm not sure though, because of the VA's voice and all :/ Meh, might work^^

But episode 26 was a closing... Seems it would be wird for them to make a second season... (Though It wasn't much of a closing... or I didn't get it.)
