I'm not sure where your attitude is originating from, but it's not appreciated. I don't want people to believe the DnD is not enforced, and that includes you.

*looks up this page and tries to hide a snicker* <.< >.>

Fanservice is appealing to men who like to look at sexualized girls, as far as I know...:shady:

Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Sorry, shooraijin. I won't use sarcasm of that sort anymore.

I'm sure there is "fanservice" for women in some shows, but bear in mind that guys are a heck of a lot more visually designed compared to women, so all in all, it's usually a bigger issue/selling point for men in general. Also bear in mind though, this isn't a mistake, that is, being designed to be visual. God created men with that in mind, having us being drawn to beauty and all of it mysteries. Granted however, we live in a fallen world, so things like fanservice or other stuff in that ballpark create incidents of struggle for guys.

Of course there's fanservice for women. Why do you think we got people like Sesshomaru, Kurama, Vash the Stampede, et al in this medium?

I hate that kind of fanservice (wether for girls or guys) becuase it degrades the character in my opinion. Take Azumanga Daioh for example. Call me a typical guy if you will, but in epsiode 5 the last time Sakaki trys to pet the cat. Notice her popcicle's shape and color. I was a little ticked off at that.

Well, Azumanga Daioh is actually made with double entendres in mind. It isn't entirely your fault.

Also, I've long felt that, while it might not be best classified as fanservice, there are definitely elements of portrayed relationships (in most mediums, not merely anime) that are gratuitous and throughly pointless. However, these are similarly wanted by many, and they do not share the moral stigma attached to traditional fanservice.

That's because that particular part of the male anatomy isn't as offensive as a woman's bare breast. It's not as sexually stimulating.

I'm sorry for being inspecific. I wasn't referring to sexuality at all and the only part of the anatomy that really applies is the brain. Let me put it another way: fanservice distorts reality in terms of the body; I am talking about distortion of reality in terms of relationships. A frequent and relatively harmless example seen time and time again is that people develop deep, intimate and lasting relationships in an extremely short period of time.

I think you have a great point, uc pseudonym. I have heard girls and women talk about problems with this type of emotional fanservice, and I believe it can be as addicting and problematic as the more obvious fanservice.

I actually don't find any of them attractive at all.

Yeah, women aren't as visual...like men...there are less woman addicted to porn, I think.
