Silent cancellation. Got very poor ratings.

WB is stupid. I don't know much about Astro Boy, besides that on a J-Pop CD I heard, the opening theme, True Blue, was awesome.

Eh, it can't have been cancelled after only a few episodes.
I'm certain that they will show new episodes eventually. WB has so many shows, it has to juggle them around the different time slots.

Eh, I don't think it's out on DVD yet as it's a very new show.

Wait a while...

methinks they made a remake of it last 2003. personally, i like both the old and new one. but more on the new one since it has the same cool graphics like the other ozamu tezuka masterpiece "metropolis".^_^

Good news for you all. Kids WB has canned the show, but Cartoon Network picked up the liscence. It will start air on Toonami in a couple weeks I think.

Yes, Astroboy is one of the first manga/animes ever made.

Um, I don't think so. For some reason I'm thinking that Cyborg 009 (I've never watched it, personally) is done in old-school style. Perhaps it was based on an older manga, though.

Astro Boy was the first animated show ever IIRC it was made in the 1950s.Cyborg 009 from the 1960s, but the the version that is on CN is a reanimated one.Actually Cyborg 009 was only a manga until about 15-25 years later. Then CN remade it.

Cyborg 009 is also a old anime. In fact, it even got it's own series of video games. I know there are others, but all I'm aware of is Super Nintendo.
