CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I click on CAA: Christian Anime Alliance (for example mine says: CAA: Christian Anime Alliance > Administration > Comment Box > Post New Thread )

Well, mine takes me to the mian page...where it has the announcements and Shout Box instead of taking me to the main forum page.

Is this supposed to happen, it drives me nutso

I was about to say the same thing... It's supposed to take us to the first page in forums... Or, rather, that's what it had always done...

Yeah, that should really point to forums.php, not index.php.

While we're on the subject, can http://www.christiananime.net/forums/ redirect to forums.php, also? Right now it goes to the main page (annoying ).

The forums button is ten pixels above the "CAA: Christian Anime Alliance" link, so I don't see why that is such a big problem. + the root page of the site is technically index.php. It just takes a little getting used to, However I will fix the redirect for the /forums/ subdirectory.

well, there's the matter of the tree listing IE. "CAA: Christian Anime Alliance > Administration > Comment Box > a problem "

It should be more like CAA> Christian Anime Alliance Forums > Administration > Comment Box > a problem so that way you can just use the tree whether you're going back to the main forums page or back to root.

If I changed it to "CAA: Christian Anime Alliance Forums", the rest of the site would appear strange - reviews, links, gallery, and arcade would come under forums, which makes no sense at all

just use the "forums" button instead.

I'm just saying the root used to be there, and that other line of menu buttons isn't natural... No forums I've been to have been like this... It SHOULD be the other way around... Why on earth would there be a button on the index that takes you to the index? It's kind of stupid. There should be an INDEX button in the line of buttons and the root CAA thing on the tree should take you to the forums. It's going to confuse newcomers, and oldcomers who didn't take as much time to figure it out as I have are going to think it's just broken.

See, the tree links are at the top of the forum and it's sort of instinctual that I'd go there to get back to the root of the forums, not the entire website. It's just not a good idea, IMNSHO.

Well, I'm not the only one who has a problem with it... It is probably an adjustment, but one that need not be made. It's just not natural to have to go back to the forums using that tiny little line at the top... the "CAA: Christian Anime Alliance >" line is much more natural to use, and a link back to the forums main page should be in that line, which it's not, because more people are going to want to go to the forum index rather than the front page... I usually try to avoid going to the front page. I would just use the back button, but there's also teh problem I brought up when I first got here that going back results in errors (This action cannot be completed without resetting the forms) and, strange as that may sound to you, the "forums" button is quite out of the way. It's off to the side in a different color in a different section... It's not nearly as automatic as the other was. And, there is no reason for there to be a button on the index that takes you to the index. Since I'm not the only one (at least 1 other person, probably more) who has had a problem with that, I think it's worth looking into.
