I LOVE the series!!!!
I finished reading Armageddon a year ago, and I'm eager to get my hands on Glorious Appearing. Still, just about everyone who has been around since the first book is dead. *sniff* NOOOOOOOO......

I really love this series; I've read up to the one before Armageddon. It mixes Christian values, action & suspense very well while making a story from the Bible very exciting! I also think it's helped me to understand Revelation a little better. It's a good interpretation, in my opinion. The movie didn't do much for me, though.

Well not really... It's more about people who see what hell is like and see what will happen when jugment day. And the repent and stuff.

It's about the book of Revelation and the second coming of Jesus. Our main characters weren't Christians originally, so they didn't get taken up by Christ when the armageddon started. So they have to try to survive through the 7 judgements of God, the Antichrist, etc., as they wait for Jesus to come. Basically what Inferno said.

im basicly restating what kireihana and inferno said, but its ok
its about a group of people who are not raptured with the rest of the christians, all for various reasons, and they together have to try to survive to see the second coming of christ

I'd like to recommend a book written by a good family friend, John Davis. It's extremely new so you wont find much about it, but it's called revelation's child and you can [or will be able to] order it here:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1410784541/qid=1083204232/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-0140132-7691812?v=glance&s=books
Its an end-times novel like Left Behind, but written from by a Catholic and the theology is much better (at least in my opinion, being a catholic and all
). I know most of you guys arent catholic and most likely no one is going to buy it with so little information available but I thought I'd tell you all about it. Even for non-catholics, it contains an interesting look into where a lot of our teachings come from as Mr. Davis is quite the apologist.

I read up to "the mark" then i got really frustrated because all of my favorite characters kept dying... so i quit. i really should start them again, so i can get to the last one, i'm very interested to see how the authors did the last book...

Jedi-Sonic...as a Catholic as well I'm greatly interested in the book you plugged. I'll have to check it out.
As for the Left Behind Series? It's a good series...although I haven't been able to read the last couple of books in the series...but I have the majority of them...

I've read all of em, except for Glorious Appearing which i got halfway through and had to stop because of My Uni exams. I think there really good books although some bits of there interpretations are a bit off (like the tribulation force getting the mark of protection from God, am sure Revelation says that the 144,000 Jews exclusively get the mark, stuff like that, but all in all highly reccomendable reads)
The two films weren't up to the books standards though, ecpecially the second one, they left out a massive amount of stuff. Oh yeah, fans of the series might want to know theve started releasing 2 new spin-offs of left behind. A political series, and a military series, they look interesting too.
