Death of a Salesman: By Arthur Miller

anyone read it yet? I only began to read it today, and it looks really really really nice. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Yup. Interesting, and depressing, portrayal of the suburban, middle-class American's view of USA being the land where dreams come true, and the delusions that come with that view and end in tragedy. A bit dated but still applicable, I think, what with Hollywood and all.

Btw, if you get quite interested in the "failed-dreams" theme of Death of a Salesman, I would recommend another play, Eugene O'Neill's The Iceman Cometh. Very gripping and has a distinct touch of morbidity.

I didn't like it much. I didn't find even one of the characters in it to be likable.

failed-dreams, eh. Read quite a few of them, fences was kinda like one. Iceman cometh eh? ill check that out
