Hi! You're on your way. ^^ The drawing you posted is good, but needs some improvement. The face is unnaturally thin, you could flesh out the cheeks more, make them wider. The eyes/nose/mouth is bunched too close together. You could even look at Vash's pictures from Trigun as a reference. You just need to fix the face and it'd look nicer.

hi hi! ^^i know im young but ive been drawing manga since i was seven, so i know some stuff, lol. the face is a little thin for the size of neck. you might want to raise the eyes a tad as well (i have a humongous problem with putting my eyes too low...). your character almost seems cross eyed though. to get a better look, put the highlights in the eyes on the same side. in your pic you have the highlights in both eyes facing towards the middle. it sould look better if the highlights in bothe eyes were on the same side of the eye, that way they dont look crosseyed. the tops of your ears are level with your eyebrows and the bottoms of your ear lobes are level with just below your nose, remember that when drawing a character. anywho...ttyl, kk? ~sonichiro fugiyama

poly karbon is good and that other one was from some kinda university or something. im positive we have it mentioned in some thread around here. a book i found helpful was "how to draw shoujo" by christoffer hart. i dont particularly like his colouring style or someof his sd stuff (actually all his sd stuff...its butt ugley...but i like his chibbi) anywho, ill look for some stuff and get back to you ^^

I have been trying for a long time and you know what?
I bought art books, looked at online tutorials, ect. None of that helped me.
I found that you need to study a picture. Find the style that you like and study those pictures.
You need to look at even the smallest detail and then figure out how you can draw that.
Sometimes I will draw a head fifty times and it's not right. Then I'll look at a picture and realize that I'm drawing the forehead to short or small. Just a little thing like that.

I can't guarantee that this method will work for everyone, but it's the only method that will work for me.

And of course you must develop your own style while learning also, because there are lots of artists out there that just know how to draw like the artist of Bebop, ect.

Good luck! It's gets really fun as soon as you get down the basics!
