CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

In the city of LA, six teenagers who would otherwise have nothing to do with each other have found out they all have something in common: their parents are members of a criminal organization called The Pride. An organization that deals in the occult, time-travelers, mad scientists, alien invaders and telepathic mutants.. It even has a grip on the city making it difficult, if not impossible, for the teens to trust anyone but themselves.
This RP is based on the Marvel Comic The Runaways, which I have read the first arc of. If you haven't read it yet, you can still play. Because it is set in the Marvel Universe, I will allow references to it, such as X-men characters and what not, but you cannot play as them. (I may have them show up in cameos though.) And yes, because this is based on a comic book, superpowers are encouraged, as well as mutants. (It is Marvel's stock in trade after all)

Talents: Despite her Christian upbringing (which was a ruse), Nico studied black magic and has extensive knowledge of it.
Powers (if any): She is bonded to the mystical Staff of One, which can only be used twice a day.

Personality: Nico is a very emotional person and extremely loyal to the others. She is also intelligent and courageous.

Talents: She can write very well- she's already published two books under different aliases. She also can do sign language.
Powers (if any): When she speaks or makes a sound, it causes physical pain to those who can hear her.

Personality: Fairly introverted due to her inability to speak. She'll go out of her way to read a good book. She's also people-pleasing to a fault. Pretty book-smart, but not people smart.

Your character reminds me of a little-known Marvel character named Black Bolt (I think that's his name). Not that it matters, just an observation. Hey, I just got an idea for how to get over the problem of her communicating through sign language. I'll make it like Nico learned sign language in her foster home she's staying in. The one for Unwanted Goth Kids.

Black Bolt sounds sooo familiar for some reason *looks up on internet* Nope, never heard of him until now!
