"Ask Goldy" (I never thought I would ever make one of these).

I was told yesterday that I was close to making my 1,000th post on the forum. Since I just recently passed this mark, I decided to take this semi-momentous occasion to make one of those "Ask [insert your name here] almost anything about himself/herself" fad threads that people will sometimes make if they reach a special place in their CAA membership.

Before the question asking though (which I don't think will be much of, since I'm a rather boring person ), I'll give you all a small summary about me, mostly to benefit the newer members who only know me as that one mod who has a really, really, bright gold name in the chat.

Let's see...

I've been a member of CAA for two and a half years now.

My username is obviously goldenspines. Though, I also go by goldy, goldie, golden, gs, gp(still wondering about that one), goldilocks(huh? o.O), spines, spiney, Mary, Miss Mary, Marry(not sure about that one either) and Mayor-E(yes, had to throw that one in here, too).

My real name is rather obvious by now.

My testimony is not very exciting.
I've basically been a christian since I was five; grew up in a christian home and all that. But it was only in high school when I actually started to make my faith my own and not just following my parents' faith(though we still agree anyways XD). ^_^ In summary, I find myself relying on God more and more and realize that I couldn't get much of anywhere in life without Him.

I am currently in college, going for an illustration major, but exploring other areas as well (like theatre and performance).

I think I'll leave it at that, so there will actually be questions for people to ask(if they actually dare to try :O). XDD


P.S. Preferably, I would hope the questions asked will be inquiring about me and my interests/hobbies/likes/dislikes/etc...,but I'm not too vain to assume that someone won't throw in something about a swallow. Xp

My favorite anime character is hard to pin down exactly (I have a lot of favorites, really), but one that I never get tired of is Kenshin Himura.

@Peanut: Oh wow, that's a really hard one. Currently, I love Ouran High School Host Club, but once the Baccano boxset comes out, that will be my favorite. But, I always enjoy Kino's Journey the most out of all anime I've seen.

@Rushair: You had me thinking three hours over this. THREE HOURS. But, I finally figured it out after finally remembering that I read it in a riddle book a few years ago(I used to have a hobby of reading riddle books, weirdly enough). :3 The lovely letter "m" is the answer.

@Nick: I came up with it when I was 11 years old, dreaming of once being able to join a forum and use it. When I did finally join a forum at the age of 14, I thought the name was a bit childish, but for lack of a better one, I used it. It's based on the character from one of my favorite series of video games, Sonic the Hedgehog. I always liked the fact that Sonic turned gold (not yellow, people, it was gold, it was shiny) when he went into super sonic mode. And that's basically what my username is, golden spines (hedgehog spines, yes? Yes.)
Please do bear in mind I was 11, but I still kind of like it.

@ Lucky: I'd like to be Honey(or Huni) from Ouran. He gets to eat cake all day and still keep his cute figure.

@ Kali: 1. I'm not exactly sure what my hat size is, but I know it's above "one size fits all". I have a rather large head and, sor far, I have only found two hats that fit me nicely, but that was only have a lot of searching. I still have yet to find a fedora that fits. 8(
2. No to the first, no to the second, and yes to the third, though I can't recall the last time I was actually at a birthday party. I notice when I start getting older (and so do my friends), they don't have parties for their birthdays as much, hence why I'm not invited (or maybe they just don't like me. XDD; )
3. I adore cheesecake, especially when it involves some type of fruit mixed in it.

@ Gelka: In general, I love cats, but more specifically, I've always loved the cheetah. <3

I have a big head to. My family teases me about it sometimes -.- But generally, the only hats I know will fit are the ones that have the little adjustable strap in the back. D=

I like this drawing as well. Its very nice! Good job. And I like the coloring of it.

@ FD: When I first found out what anime actually was, which was when I was 11 and started watching One Piece and Mew Mew Power (dubbed version of Tokyo Mew Mew) on 4Kids (one thing I can thank them for is introducing me to the concept). Before, I had watched Pokemon and Digimon, but I didn't know they were "anime".

@ Rushiar: Considering only the first part of that riddle matters, I'm going to go with my memory and say about 23-24mph. Unless it's flying against or with the wind.

Interestingly enough, sometimes I've been told I act older and sometimes I've been told I act younger, but I never act my age apparently. XDD

@ Fish: 1. Guilty pleasure in anime? Yes, I do have one (well, two, if you count TV shows as well). Hellsing would be it (some people may have already known this though). I've questioned myself over and over again why I like the series besides the fact that it's just awesome. I tend to stay away from overly violent anime, but Hellsing is a special exception.
And I'll add the TV show on here too, I suppose. Doctor Who. Strangely enough, I never liked sci-fi shows until I saw this show.
2. I think that I fit the best in the Western genre, purely because of where I live and how I grew up.
I would like to be in the Action genre though. My life could use some more excitement sometimes. XD Of course, the Musical genre would be fun too...
3. I rarely get into bizarre circumstances. :| But a song that tends to get stuck in my head way too much nowadays is Best Friend by ToyBox. It's a bizarre song, does that count? :p

@ Lilac: I have one sibling; an older sister who is quite the opposite of myself and sadly does not like anime (although she will watch FMA with me sometimes). She is an incredably talented musician as well.
