I shall lurk no longer

Postby Whitefang » Fri Nov 21, 2008 7:27 pm

Hello everyone! I, like many, it seems, have been lurking the forums. Though I did try registering 2 weeks ago, for some reason I never got an activation e-mail. I blame gmail.

I've been really looking forward to joining this community, and although I haven't been watching much anime recently, it's still my favorite medium and I enjoy it. I love the attitude of everyone here and I think I'll fit in just fine.

I am a CS major, and I also enjoy video games. In fact I'm in the midst of helping to program one right now as a Final Project in a games class. In addition to those I love board games and card games, especially Legend of the Five Rings. If anyone else plays, send me a PM and maybe we can get some games in over theGame or something.

As for sports I'm best at hockey, but unfortunately I don't skate much anymore. I also enjoy football, a little soccer (original football ;) ), and of course the Olympics, among other things.

Since this is an anime centric site, I'll post some of my favorite anime that I've watched.
Rurouni Kenshin
Inuyasha
Yu Yu Hakusho
Wolf's Rain (The White wolf, Kiba means fang = Whitefang)
.hack//SIGN (I guess this is what got me started!)
Most of Bleach, though I've fallen behind and it would be daunting to catch back up...

I also really like Doctor Blackjack, but I've only seen it on TV once and I don't get that station anymore. Oh well.

Yup, so I guess that's it. Hopefully I'll get to know most of you a little bit and be a part of the Christian anime community!

In Christ,
Whitefang (Justin)

Huh, and here I thought you named yourself after that great movie based on the even greater book by Jack London.
Anyway, welcome to CAA from one of this site's craziest members, rocklobster!

Proof that civilization has in fact advanced since my college days, despite all evidence to the contrary. I don't think the engineering school would have allowed the CS guys either a video game project or a games class back in my school days.

Welcome! I hope you have fun!

BTW, Rurouni Kenshin and InuYasha are awesome!

Wolf's Rain I've been wondering whether to watch or not. What was so good about it? I'm not being rude, just asking because I kinda wanna watch it but haven't made up my mind...

Heh! I loved it ,but I guess it's kind of hard to explain. It's that kind of anime that you have to check out to know if you'll like it. ^^ Then again I have friends who after seeing the whole anime stayed like "what"? XP

Also an old thread...

Actually Atria, I found this site through Plugged In Online (I think that's a Focus on the Family project?), when I was looking for a way to know the content of manga before I read them.
