My dad just told me about it. Apparently twenty or so minutes ago, it was reported that they found pitchman Billy Mays (age 50) dead in his home. No more obnoxious "IT'S BILLY MAYS HERE!"... ;_;

Oh my gosh, are you serious? This week is just a bad week for celebrities. D:
Billy Mays' commercials cracked me up all the time.

It maybe he hit his head when the plane he was on hit the runway hard yesterday. I guess he shook it off and went home and went to bed. Thats where he was found.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like him hitting his head had something to do with it. We'll just have to see what the autopsy says...

My dad just told me about this earlier. We were looking at some of his commercials (I loved them! They were funny). I seriously couldn't believe it, though...another famous person dead *sigh*

Patrick Swayzee is going to be next. He's on death's door right now.

The first thing I did was go to Jabo0ody Dubs' Youtube channel to see what they had to say. They had this on their channel:
"Billy Mays, The Infomercial King passed away June 28, 2009. No more Billy Dubs will be released, the old ones are more than enough to cherish as classics. I will find other stuff to dub. I feel as though I've lost a best friend/ hero. God bless Billy, his family, and his fantastic products. We will miss you billy, RIP"

Man, I hate hearing about this. My mom always said that he and Tony Little needed to do a commercial together......maybe even with the Sham Wow guy.
It's so sad when someone so young dies so suddenly.

Oh no, oh no. I can't believe it! He was such a great pitchman! My dad and I were just talking about his show "Pitchmen" and that he had a way with him that he could sell you anything! Anything! He could sell you pure junk because he was just that good.
Well this is certainly depressing.

I actually didn't care about MJ dying. I'm actually sad about Billy Mays though

That would have never happen. Billy Mays and Vince Offer (Scam Wow guy) didn't like each other.

I was so sad to hear this when I looked at my phone earlier... :< I actually liked him, as loud as he was, he had a charm about him that actually made me WANT to buy his pitches (although, I never did XD)
That's really sad.
What's that saying about how famous people die in threes? O_O

*Sigh* Billy was awesome...
I was really hit hard when I heard about this. He was only 50 too...
Pitchmen was like my favorite Discovery show...

This actually answers one of the less important questions that came to my mind when I heard the news seeing as how Jabo0ody dubs had just released a video saying there would be more Billy Mays videos...I wonder what will happen to Pitchmen as well...I mean, they could continue the show without Billy but...it wouldn't be as awesome...

Yeah I feel the same way, I was planning on buying some car scratch remover he was pitching one time.
However, regarding your second statement, there have been four celebrities that have died in this week. McMahon, Fawcett, Jackson, and now Mays.

They'll have to try to get the "Sham-wow" guy or something, but I'll bet they try to keep it going. Maybe after a hiatus, though. You couldn't just plug any old guy into that role.

Why would they get a guy that Billy didn't get along with. That would be like a slap in the face to Billy and the show.

Although he is an energetic person, I don't think that the "Sham-wow" guy can ever fill Billy's shoes.

It sure sucks to be from anywhere else in the world when an US-only celebrity dies. :/ Suddenly the internet is flooded with it and I feel like I should care, but I can't. Not trying to belittle the death of Mr. Mays, obviously.

That's understandable.

They say celebrity deaths come in threes, but I have counted four or five now....it is quite strange.
The news today also stated the Mays died from heart problems, and not from a brain injury.
