Pro Wrestling

Postby Yuen Fei Lung » Thu Jun 19, 2008 7:27 pm

So, I was curious if there are any WWE, TNA or Ring of Honor fans here? Yes indeed wrestling is fake but I've always loved it. The stylistic action, the characters, the pagentry and even the behind the scenes politics... the world of pro wrestling has always captivated me and I suppose it always will.

If you are a wrestling fan, who are some of your favorites? Why do you watch? Discuss everything pro wrestling here.

Really Tsukuyomi? Are your nephews John Cena fans? ^_^ I think wrestling had it's best days back in the "attitude era" when there was Steve Austin, The Rock, Mick Foley... guys like that. But I still enjoy it now too.

I have to admit, I watch it. Shawn Michaels is my fave!

My favorite was Eddie Guerrero. It's amazing to me how good HBK still is. That guy can still go. He's probably in his 40's now, right?

I love wrestling! Unfortunately, a combination of work and a lack of cable have really cut back on my viewing time, since I don't get out of work till 9 and it takes me an hour to get home. By that time Friday night Smackdown is all ready over. :/

Some of my favorites are Undertaker, HBK, and Chris Jericho (who finally decided to come back I hear, just as I lost cable D:).

Oh man, that sucks that you don't have cable WrestlingOtaku! If there's anything you want to see, let me know and I'll hook you up somehow. Since Chris Jericho has come back he's been having five star matches. Actually, Jericho and HBK are having a great feud at the moment. Really good stuff!

Did you know Undertaker is taking some time off?

I 'm a Classic Wrestling Fan,I don't really like the Wrestling of this Generation. Sure, the Wrestlers are Great athletes,But it reflects our terrible culture too much. (like most forms of today's entertainment).

I also love Lucha Libre,

I still watch WWE and TNA at times, but I'm more of a fan of the 80's WWF and NWA, because it was 90% wrestling and 10% storytelling, now its 90% storytelling and 10% wrestling.

I'm starting to buy the 80's and early 90's dvd's now.

I watch WWE every monday and friday. My favorites have to be Orton and Edge. I dont like most of the storylines for orton, but the Vicky Guerrero storyline with edge is starting to get good, but the Jeff Hardy fake accidents and getting attacked, it too far.

I always watch it.. Can't get enough really.
I see everything that other people don't.
Such as:
John Morrison is the star of the show when it comes to Miz & Morrison.
John Cena can't learn more than 3 moves.
Randy Orton's matches are 98% headlocks.
Abyss' gimmick has been ruined.
Great Khali isn't a monster anymore.
Kane is a jobber.
Triple H can't pull off a face act.
TNA's writing is terrible.
Ted DiBiase is what is keeping Legacy afloat.
Edge's storylines are just the same thing over and over again.
The Rock is a traitor.
A can of beans can commentate better than Michael Cole.
Kofi Kingston is the best young guy in WWE.
Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, John Cena always win because of the younger audience.
Chris Jericho is keeping RAW alive.
and Billy Gunn is being used blatantly wrong in TNA.

And that my friends, is the truth... Oh my brother! TESTIFY!
