Dr.Who Back On PBS!

Postby mitsuki lover » Sun Mar 25, 2007 1:47 pm

I was looking for something to watch between Prince of Tennis and Bleach yesterday and noticed that Tv Guide Channel listed Dr.Who on KUID which is the Idaho PBS station. So I turned it on and they were doing the 9th Doctor episode where he and Rose meet Charles Dickens.
Good times! :thumb:
Personally even though I do enjoy DW on the Sci Fi Channel it seems more natural to watch it on PBS.
Now if only they would bring Blakes7 back..

If only I were as excited about the new Doctor Who series as you are.

Alas, the original is far far better in my opinion. (And of course, Tom Baker is still the best Doctor. Off for me to say that, I know, since I have Eighth Doctor's avatar up and not Baker's)

Yes,I know what you mean, but it is still nice to know that the Doctor,no matter which incarnation of him it is,is back on PBS where a lot of us first discovered him.

In my area, we still have classic Doctor Who on PBS. I guess we're spoiled over here. I don't really watch that series anymore, but that's just because I've seen the vast majority of it. I can thank PBS and my dad for that.

Y'know I was rather surprised it was on last week,it wasn't until I turned on Tv Guide Channel to see what was on that I found it.
Any way it comes on right after Monty Python here.

I wish I could watch the older version. I've been avoiding the Sci-fi version. Too many bad memories of other shows they've borrowed over the years like Sliders.

The version on Sci-Fi channel wasn't made by them. It was made by a division of BBC. So don't be afraid of that. It's still not as good as the original though.

Like I said. The Sci-fi Channel: Where all good sci-fi shows go to die.

I figure unless AS puts something good on at 11 Saturday nights that this ought to tide me over until the new season of DW starts in the U.S.
