Computer is really slow when burning files onto a cd

Computer is really slow when burning files onto a cd

Why is it that enever im burning files onto a cd.... my computer is INCREDIBLY slow... i mean my typing rate is like.... letters appear 5 seconds after i press a key... any idea why?

Probably more than the processor/memory can handle. I'd hold off until it's done.

Unless this is a recent problem in which case, you may wish to scan for viruses, defrag the hard drive and do a disc scan...

Check if nero is Caching files correctly in the preferences, and possibly modify your virtual memory/swapfile settings.

in File -> Preferences, go to the Cache tab and have nero cache files into a temp directory and set maybe 32MB of disk space in reserve
