My Japanese IME is messed up!

Postby Bobtheduck » Thu Aug 10, 2006 11:03 pm

Out of the blue, the "A" button on my japanese IME disappeared... now, all that's there is the help button, the "caps" button, the "kana" button which just makes my keyboard type kana directly instead of parsing so instead of a doing a it does チ and instead of ka doing ka it does ノチ

Oh, and now the "properties" on the japanese IME won't open...

Any clue what could have happened?

no clue. Try removing japanese language support and readding =/

Tuesday was a major patch day for microsoft. Maybe one of those broke IME support.

Sounds like one of the files got corrupted, or like ducheval said overwritten. I think I'd uninstall it and then re-install it.

アカンジテスト
Well if it did, it didn't break all the stuff as mine works. the language bar can be a twitchy thing though. Properties dd not work admitedly. Everything else did, and I had a new button for the drawing pad

It's back to normal now... It took a reboot... I'm thinking it may have been premiere elements that did it, that's the only thing unusual that I had run in that bootup... Of course, I guess it could have been almost anything, but that's all I can think of that was different...
