w00 speed upgrade from verizon dsl!!!

I used to get really slow speeds, lower than 83.3kbytes/s, but i called Verizon this last friday and they said they'd upgrade my speed if I was elligible for the speed upgrade.

I ran the line test and right now they say I am getting 512kbits/s or 83.3kbytes/s

The woman on the phone said they'd upgrade me to 1.5mbits/s, that's 3x faster!!! W00T!

My advice to those out there who think their dsl service is a bit slow, do this! You too might be elligible for the change, and it's free.

Bell Canada recently upgraded their networks so I'm enjoying 300kb/s downloads right now.

Verison tried to talk me into DSL when I paid my bill the other day... I know at least that it's available in my area, but I think I'd rather go for cable again... it seems faster and more stable (for the most part). Don't know....

Bothers me though that they where trying to tell me that it would be $10 more a month to go with cable when I'm pretty sure that my Mom's only paying about the same that I was, about the same as DSL.
