The Definition of Poetry by John T. Mathis
Poetry is a whimsical harp deep in the lone woods. It waxes and wanes with each new moon. It wafts through keyholes to the heart. It sinks deeper than the brain, and lasts longer than the spiraling lane of memory. Poetry is an ocean, our souls the ships; set sail on grand adventure. What islands lie beyond the horizon? Only poetry can take us there.
