1:Haku died
2: You learned about Gaara's past
3: When the 3rd Hokage died
I just read ALL of those chapters over again, and they still got to me... :sniffle:

Eh...
You might want to edit that and put spoiler brackets around it for those who haven't read that far in the manga.

yeah, you're REALLY going to want to mark those spoilers.

But to respond to your question, I cried for all three of them. For the third's death, I actually wrote a fanfic oneshot that involved Konohamaru coping with it. (Well, kind of)

PLEASE use some (SPOILER) brackets on the title of this thread. Everything on this topic was news to me - i.e. ruined.

I am sure I'll cry, though. I cried several times during Fushigi Yuugi (those who read it know which parts). I'm such a sap! *laughs*

Everyone who complains about spoilers... don't quote the post yourself. I will clean up this thread for now, but try to avoid this in the future.

Also, in response to the purpose of the thread:
1) It was the closest I have gotten to crying in a long time.
2) First, keep in mind I do not allow manga to affect me. However, I often do have responses I would take were it real. Actually, this made me angry. I wanted to scream at the woman who attacked Gaara (I'm vague for the sake of not using spoilers): "You fool!"
3) Sad. Cool fight, though. The style of this one didn't get to me nearly as much as #1.

Crap... Well, atleast it's fixed. And, sorry to whoever I spoiled it for.

I was sad for 2 and 3, not quite for 1 for some reason O_o;;; It was definitely a "ugh" moment but maybe it was just too sudden... the aftermath of 1 I *did* get teary eyed though... 3 was the worse for me, maybe because it was dragged on for dramatic effect more than 1 and 2....

UC, if we're talking about the same person, then the one who attacked Gaara is a guy. Kishimoto has a thing for girly men -_-;;

Ann reminds me that I was less sad at 1 than the aftermath of which, by which I mean the conclusion of the Land of the Waves Saga. Though technically we could say he was alive until the very end (eg the tears).

About the person attacking Gaara: in the version I read, at least, Gaara calls her his "Aunt." So unless someone mistranslated... [though our buddy Masashi does have a fair number of guys that look like girls. It's wierd that he even mentions it, though, such as in Haku's case].

G-g-g-guy?!?!?!?! *barfs* I thought that was a fairly attractive anime-chick... :bang:

Ooh yeah, we're talking about the same person ^^;; Yeah, he's a "he" ^^;;; I'm pretty confident after episode 76 of the anime with the male voice and all ^^;; Man, I also thought he was a she the first time he came out in the manga--that was shocker (like Haku which was just a mess until he said it himself he's a guy to Naruto).

Lol, Yusuke, same thing happened to my friend (a guy) that just couldn't get over the fact that Haku is male (after liking "Haku the bishoujo").

I think I might be able to clear things up. Spoiler warning (I don't know how to do the complicated technical one) [but uc does and has done so]
Gaara's birth killed his mother. Naturally, Gaara's uncle (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Gaara's mother, I think they're twins) goes looking for revenge on the one who caused his sister's death (although one might argue that it wasn't Gaara's fault). So that's why they look so much alike; they're siblings.
My bad. Sorry for having you have to go in and fix it...

Just to clear my own name: I have been reading a poor translation. Gaara's uncle was specifically reffered to as his aunt. Well, I suppose this minor point has been corrected for me now...

Don't worry about it, Iapetus. And I'll fix your post, Kesshin.

For the record, the code for spoilers is the following, minus the spaces:
[ spoiler=topic ] spoiler content [ /spoiler ]

I altered the original message once more so that the preview bubble no longer reveals the spoilered information. That's the only reason.

For those following Shonen Jump, hey! One of first the teary eyed moments has come! I can't believe I *still* get teary eyed after reading it....

This is still my favorite moment. But personally I was upset that they changed probably my favorite line in all of Naruto from another translation I have seen. As it was here, Zabuza says: "Kid... not... another word." This is pretty good, but I really loved: "Kid... you don't have to say any more."

Seriously, though, that was what got me closer to crying than anything else in that saga (or the rest of Naruto). It was interesting...
...they've been setting up for some time how evil Zabuza is, and devoted many pages to the issue. Then he actually is redeemed in the end.
I hadn't been reading Naruto that long... well, from SJ issues October 2003 - May 2004, but even then I haven't really gotten attached to any of the characters yet. I agree with UC, Zabuza had some cool lines, though.

The end of the Zabuza and Haku stuff totally got to me. I knew it was coming and all, but it still left me a bit depressed for days. (Maybe I just overreact.) But one thing in particular that struck me was when
Haku got Kakashi's hand through his chest, and he's got that intense gaze with the blood all over, and then Zabuza says, "Brilliant, Haku." Just two little words, but Haku's expression went suddenly serene, and he died with a smile.
*sniffle*

Yeah, i wasn't as teary-eyed for
when haku when she died but rather Zabuza's cold-heartedness to coming around when Naruto got melodramatic, call me sappy but i thought it was touching
That was touching, too. I just loved Haku to bits and pieces, so all the messed up stuff about his past always gets to me.

And Haku is a guy, FYI.
