Her Majesty's Dog

I found this cute shojo horror series - Her Majesty's Dog by Mick Takeuchi - a few months ago and have really been enjoying it. The series has very nice art, and the story is entertaining (it's kind of like a mix between Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha).

I thought I would share and see if anyone else has been reading it.

I love it! I've only read 2 vol. though. I liked the variety of characters and how they were developed.

You really think so? I thought about starting this series but I didn't know if it was worth it. Anything you might want to warn people about in there?

What you should look out for (The manga is rated 16+) :
- Amane the main character lends energy to Hyoue her spirit guardian by kissing him. But nothing graphic.
- Spirits, ghosts, psychics; Japanese religion
- Violence; some of the angry spirits and ghosts are very violent, and during fights blood is splattered. Comparitively, if you can handle Kenshin, you should be fine with this.
- :edit: Hyoue is a bit of a potty-mouth and swears a lot, other characters occasionally swear - typical of anything you would hear in a high school. No f-bombs.

Like I said earlier, Her Majesty's Dog is kind of like Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha combined - if you've seen/read either of those series and weren't bothered by the content, you should be fine. But if you draw the line at spirits and ghosts and the like, you might want to avoid HMD. I'd suggest reading a few chapters in the store before making a decision. You can also read a chapter on go comi!'s website: click here and go to the link on the bottom left titled 'Manga Viewer'

Personally, I love it. ^_^

I paged through volume 2 and the art looks a little old fashioned... but I ordered the first one anyways. XD; we'll see how I like it
