I used to be heavy in webcomics until I strayed toward the darker reaches of them. I have hundreds of webcomics in my favorites list and yet I stopped going to even Megatokyo.

Just be careful where you go, because I was lucky and could simply go cold turkey on what I was reading. Others here might now be as fortunate.

Yeah...Allot of webcomics seem to be weird/gross most of the ones at online comics are either yaoi or yuri. I don’t have trouble stopping reading one if it strays into that territory but I've had to be increasing careful about what I click on *sigh*, but some of the ones I've found are really worth reading.

webcomics were my first introduction to the manga genre... there have been some that were great, that i continue to read, others that were take-it-or-leave-it, and still others that were horrible, either in plot, artwork, or content. i don't read them as much as i used to, since i now have access to actual manga, that i can be well informed about before reading, and not just plunge in and come out scarred.

my favorite Christian webcomics are:
Psychoteers
Paladin
Kingdom Come / Home
Steelblood

my favorite non-Christian are:
MegaTokyo
Eidolic Fringe
9th Elsewhere
Directions of Destiny

Saturnalia (is good artwork-wise and plot-wise, but has too much cussing, and questionable content to be on my list of favorites)
Your Wings Are Mine (has great artwork, but AVOID IT, it is a shonen-ai manga. sadly, i ran across it before i knew what shonen-ai was, and ended up clicking 'back' and 'exit' buttons to escape from things i didn't want to see as fast as possible)

I love webcomics, but I don't read nearly as many as I used to. Even before the whole blue-state/red-state thing went down I noticed that a lot more of them were becoming subtly or openly hostile to my religion. What really hurt was when an artist I had been following for hundreds of strips would come out of the blue with some Bible bashing. It's like an old friend sitting down to dinner with me and, over dessert, punching me in the face. And, it's happened more than once. I don't always stop reading, but I never enjoy the comic as much as before.

Okay, enough doom and gloom. Here's my reading list:

  • Megatokyo
  • Count Your Sheep
  • 10k Commotion
  • It's Walky (until it stopped)

And, when I feel like it:

  • Angel Moxie
  • Wisdom of Moo
  • Scott McCloud's improvs

Let me also point out that Mave's comics are awesome and I am following Kingdom Come and Home as they are posted.

I'm inspired to do my own webcomic! I think I'll do a comic version of a Christian themed steampunk/fantasy story I'm writing called Before the Dawn.
I've done 16 pages that I can upload (have to make a website first) of a comic I did for tafe. How often do you update them webcomics? One page a week?
